Quite strong for a Kolsch. Pours with frothy head and looks oddly red for this style of beer. Instead of light bitterness, there’s a touch of umami. Maybe a Kolsch in name alone? Overall, an interesting beer, but stylistically it feels in no man’s land.

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like doughy malt, corn, lemon, and straw. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like doughy malt, corn, and musky straw.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear yellow/gold. Aroma is pale malt, light grassy and floral notes, some yeast esters, and faint adjuncts. Flavor is crisp, dry pale malt, slightly funky yeast esters, and some floral notes. Light body.

Bottle. Nice, crisp, lemony nose with light, crackery malt. Hazy glowing gold with a low head. Effervescent. Lihgt, simple malt flavor, lemony, some minerals, and a bit bitter. Very fizzy and prickly. Too gassy but otherwise decent.

Clear , golden color. Nice, white head. Aroma of hay , malt , citrus and other fruits. Refreshing and balanced taste . Decent , hoppy bitterness at the end. More pale ale than kolsch ...

12 oz bottle from Caliente in Pittsburgh. Lots of foam on the pour but overall this had an overly citrus infused taste and was not close to being an authentic Kolsch.

Draught @ Fools Gold. A fruity and hoppy beer with high drinkability that would have passed as a pale ale in a blind tasting.

On tap at Flora Cafe. Nice golden beer with slight head. Nose is malty, spicy and toasty. Flavour is hops first, followed by spices and citrus. Okay.

Enormous glass on it at a restaurant at JFK, waiting for my fifth consecutive delayed American Airlines flight. The glass should have been enormous for the price though. Poured with no real heat, some pleasant bready malt sweetness but tasted slightly sour. A bit disappointing.

Tap at River Dock Cafe at Staten Island side of ferry terminal. Slightly hazy straw yellow pour. Pilsner like aroma. Wheat base with some lemony tartness. Thick on the tongue yet refreshing. Good example of style.

This is a very enjoyable, smooth and drinkable beer! I had a couple pints of this on draft the Good Dog Bar in Philly. The beer poured a dark straw color with a small, white head. There was some decent lacing left around the glass. The nose was refreshing and clean, with light hops, grass and some flowery notes. The body was bright, clean and extremely drinkable, with flavors of flowery and grassy hops, bread, lemon and a hint of herbs.
