COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2012 Bottle at BCTC 2010. Pours light gold, hazy, with a medium off-white head. Fairly malty aroma with good sour notes and light fruits. Flavor begins with some fruity sweetness then goes quite sour with brett and acid. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a tart character. Finishes sour and lip-puckering. Very good beer. (4.1)

Bottle at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London - thanks to Jack. Pours foggy gold with a few bubbles for a head. big funk and tang nose. Light to medium sweet, dry, fresh, plenty of lactic tang. Light bodied with soft, fine carbonation. Fresh, tart finish, lightly acidic. Very well rounded. (4.2)

Cloudy blond color; small head. Lactic acidity, citrusy aroma, some plastic too; a bit creamy, very close to some Lambic. Good mouthfeel, strong carbonation but pleasant effect, nice fruity touch, the fruit adjunct carries some sugars too; citrusy sourness, but milder and more drinkable than other Sour beers. Balanced, well brewed, elegant. Excellent.

/12/12/13//12

Bottle at the Angry Fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. Hazy pale gold, very lemony tart aroma. Bleachy lemon. A bit like a lemony saison. It’s quite a good balanced sour beer. Good palate and good lemon finish.

750mL bottle, batch 2, sent from BrewtopiaofPJ (thanks a lot, Mark), pours a musty looking golden orange with a tiny head. Aroma of oak barrels, grape must, wild bretty funk and some vinous notes. Flavour is super dry, with loads of dry grape must, oak barrels, more grape must, some wild yeast notes, and considerable funk. Very complex and super dry. Not very similar to anything else I’ve had. Very light-to-flat in the mouthfeel. Excellent.

Cloudy, blonde. Wow...gooseberries...impressive sour fruitiness. Killer citrus - grapefruit & dalandan. Way sour, kind of grapefruit juice-like, and also quite spicy. Big citrus, crazy subtle nuances that don’t quite get at what they’re getting at. Very good brew - unique, complex and challenging.

Batch 4 thanks to jcwattsrugger. Pours cloudy yellow orange with lots of carbonation. Nose is tart fruit, champagne yeast and oak. Taste is pleasantly tart, not overwhelming with oak, yeast and light spice.

A: The pour is a cloudy straw color with a large white head that dies down to a thin white layer relatively quickly. S: A wonderful bright acidity to the nose with notes of lemon, green apple, and the muscat grapes used in this beer. Quite a vinous quality to the beer which I really enjoy. T: A moderate funky quality to the beer that is of the wet oak and must. The sourness is primarily lactic without any real acetic notes. The lemon and green apple character accentuates the white muscat grapes wonderfully, which provide a touch of sweetness. M: The body is on the light end of medium with a lively carbonation and a pleasantly dry finish. D: One of my all time favorite sour beers and one that I wish I could drink all the time. Just a great beer that I look forward to at every release.
