Bottle from the brewery. Pours a murky rose color with a large frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Kinda chunky, but it’s the last pour, just the way I like it. Bottled 5/12. Aroma of big floral notes, vegetal and earthy notes and a mildly funky finish. The taste is floral and vegetal notes, earthy notes, citrus and mild funk. Medium bodied. obguthr (6666) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2012 Kumquat, cranberry. aroma. Rose orange colored, medium pink head. Pink grapefuit and kumquat flavor. Tart and fruity, somewhat vinous, but not really doing much for me. Butters (4176) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Sampled at Dan’s after Top of the Hops tasting. Clear pinkish body with a good pink head. Extremely floral and perfumy and rose petals and hibiscus. More floral than sour. But pretty enjoyable and a great name and label art. jbeatty (1258) - New York, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Bottle, 09/20/2012. Pours a beautiful pinkish red, the color of grapefruit pulp, not much head and thin ring of lacing. Aroma of brett, mildly vinous, very floral- roses and elder flowers that become more pronounced with warmth; grapefruit, herbal hops. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, light tartness, rosewater, touch of brett funk, dry finish. Lively palate, easy to drink. Unique and well done, really enjoyed this one. Thick, lightly pinkish head, stable over orange-pink, clouded beer. Very fruity (& vinous) nose; cherry, but also other fruit - rosehips definitely possible. Quite some acids emerging in the nose: fruit-, lactic, but I seem to get also faint acidic. But intensely fruity and iniviting. Sourish, near-tart fruity flavour. Again sour cherry, pomegranate juice, rosehips, wild plums, and also the elderberries emerging. Finish is dry, with a spicy touch. Feels more carbonated than it looks. Dry, extremely refreshing, light body. Excellent fruitbeer. Really nice and aaaarrrrghhh ’more-ish’. Many thanks to Chris Kabouter and Freddy!

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2012 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with minimal. Aroma is funk beyond belief. Taste is ultra sour.. mouth puckering tart in my opinion.. I’m chewing my own tongue right now. Great sour where the hibiscus really comes through in the finish. OldGrowth (3665) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - SEP 9, 2012
bottle from Van Loans, real good aroma, sour, sweet. little yeasty funk, little oak, herbs give it nice red berry type scent. tad cloudy reddish orange color, good initial head that quickly faded to a ring, no lace. Sour flavor. light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter finish. pretty good, though the aroma got my hopes up, but flavor doesn’t match aroma, bit weaker, not as interesting. still solid offering, well worth having.
