Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sauted and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

Bottle. Very nice foamy white head. Cloudy golden color. Heavy aroma of spices and wheat. Nice flavor, thick in spice, citrus, and very creamy texture. I was surprised at how tasty it was. Not too bitter, but enough complexity in hops to make it interesting.

12.03.2017, 12 oz bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head, slightly hazy. Aroma is slightly dry floral, weeds, hay, flowers, yeast, minerals, broth, grass, dough, spices, banana. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry floral, weeds, yeast, minerals, dough, light malts, flowers, hay, paper, bark, alcohol, spices. Medium bitterness, slightly watery and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

12 oz bottle with a July 2016 poured into a lager glass in Sept. 2016. Look: pours light golden in color with a puffy, thick, white head. Very good retention. Sticky, soapy lace covers about 20% of the glass. Aroma: Hop (Noble?) dominated. Some bready, fruity and floral aromas, A touvh of slightly funky aroma. Flavor: Fruity sweetness balanced by peppery and herbal hops. Mild bitterness. Feel: The body is medium-light with lively, crisp medium carbonation. Overall: a solid but earthy/herbal Belgian pale ale.

Light yeast aroma. Clove like. Some citrus. Pours golden with a big head. Taste is a bit sweet, lots of spice flavor and a bit of citrus. Low carb body but light.

On tap @ Mudville 9. As the name suggests this is a golden colored one, soft blurry and a tiny quickly islandy shattered off-white head on the top. Smells nice. Kinda sweetish and mild yeasty. Theres some sweet tones of fruits without me being able to name them. The same goes for the taste really. Its really soft on the bubbles and it has a mild oily texture in the mouth. Sweetish mild yeasty. Theres apricots and strawberries. Funky? Yeah, I do believe it is. Like it. 10.06.2015

This is qn excellent hoppy Belgian. Its just a touch sweet with a great melding of floral hops and fruity yeast. Its fairly full bodied but still drinkable with a crisp pop of bitterness in the finish. This is one you could drink all day.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2016 Draft at The Irish Pol. Mostly clear gold pour with a slim tight white top. Belgium malts with American hops. Lots of lace. Catty aroma. Yeasty. Light amber fruit. Simply not working for me. UPDATE: Couple months later again at the Irish Pol. Rated poorly (2.7) before, bumping it up a bit because that malt feels fuller now and the body is creamy. The catty aroma has (mostly) disappeared. Better but still not a favorite for me. Could be a bad keg.

12 oz. Bottle. Clear gold color with a medium white head. Aroma has some subtle fruits and mild yeasty spice/ black pepper. Flavor is pretty well balanced yeast spice and some soft grain and light bread, touch of pepper in the finish. Texture is dry and grainy. Proper carbonation levels giving a mild smoothness over the palate. Overall right to the style, it is what it should be.
