Draft. Surprisingly low bitterness for the style. Thick malt but not caramel. Sweet alcohol but surprisingly low for 12%. Big hop beer without the poor malt or hop aspects. But not my bag at the end of the day. 7/3/7/3/15 Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 22, 2017
Aromas of orangey citrus fruit, some booze, resinous. Hazy orange with a mostly lasting white head. Mostly dry, a little alcoholic, citrusy, resiny. Full bodied, sticky. Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2017
On tap @ Blind Tiger. This is a really good looking one. Near glowing in the glass this, orange and cloudy with a small sidestic filmy lacing off-white head. Hoppy piney and fresh nose! Lots of citrus zest, piney hops, really peach sweet and really pleasant to smell at. Tastes superb. So fresh and tasty! It has a nice thick oily texture in the mouth and it’s just about average on the carbonation. Liquid gold this. Sap and pine with a rush of citrus and bitter peel. Some alcohol hints that just binds it together. A mighty fine one! 16.06.2017 Nickls (2555) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Tap. Hazy light rust yellow orange. Caramel, candy hops, slight soapy quality, some grapefruit rind. Medium to thicker coating boy that’s a little hot as well. I might have like this 6 years ago. mcox90 (2107) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 14, 2017
12 oz. bottle from Cable Beverages. Poured a lightly hazed yellow/gold with a one finger white head that retained well and left bits and pieces of lace. Aroma is fruity, featuring peach, apricot as well as a fair amount of alcohol. Flavor has a light sweetness. Nicely balanced with a touch of caramel. The initial swallow was strong alcohol, but subsequent sips smooth out. Medium bodied with lingering bitterness.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake (bottled March 20, 2017). Hazy orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit rind, and light caramel. Hop-forward but surprisingly balanced for a triple IPA with pineapple, grapefruit, and toffee notes most notably in the taste. Mild bitterness lingers on the palate. A nice imperial IPA. Bottle. Big, muscular pour ... rusty orange and moderately hazy, with a pumped-up head. The aroma is an enticing blend of sturdy malt and woodsy spices. This drinks with a well-bodied mouthfeel, peppery, woodsy, and sticky goodness.
Wouldn’t guess that at 12% and there’s no indication of that on the bottle.
We’ll see how I feel in the morning. (#6597, 5/8/2017) chinchill (5183) - South Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2017
12 oz bottle; nice and fresh: kept cold mostly since the 17 March 2017 bottling date.
Pours hazy golden-amber with a creamy white head that proves to be good at leaving lacing on the glass but which has limited retention.
This is a strong but not highly bitter Imperial IPA. More boozy than I expected, but then i was unaware of the 12% ABV at first. with that in mind, the alcohol is obvious in the aroma, partially hidden in the flavor, and well hidden in the feel. Medium+ carbonation in a medium+ body.
Overall: seeking alpha? Find it here along with an (overly?) high ABV.

Bottle. Wine Warehouse. Hazy golden-amber. Aroma of grapefruit peel, some juice. Flavor is grapefruit juice, pine, cat piss, alcohol. 12% shit, doesn’t taste it. Definitely boozy, but not 12% by taste. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 19, 2017
12oz bottle. Medium off-white head that mostly dissipates to reveal a clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, pine/resin, some alcohol, light grapefruit, peach. Taste is medium sweet, pine, orange, some grapefruit, bread, alcohol warming. Resinous medium-full body, light acidity.
