Brewed with our German ale yeast, lightly toasted malts and enhanced with a blend of winter spices this beer should do the trick. Malty, rich, and a touch spicy.

Bottle at home. Pours brown with off white head. Nose and taste of nutmeg, mint leaves, all spice, cinnamon, toasted malts and light grassy hop. Medium body. All of the spices are quite light. The mint stands out for me.

Bottle @ Presidential Suite. Copper pour with a white head. Mostly just bready malt. Some toast and nutmeg on the nose. Maybe a bit of cinnamon. Kind of tart and metallic. Flavor has bitter copper and some sour citrus peels. Old spices. Sweet bready malt base of toast and biscuit. Meh.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Rotem’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma of winter spices and a bit of malt. Sweetish malty flavor with mild spiciness. Medium-bodied.

Bottle on the first day of winter. Pours a clear copper with a medium to large sized white head. Malt and a touch of spice on the nose. Medium bodied, a bit of sweetness, malt, a touch of spice. Warming into the finish, smooth and malty. Very easy drinking.

Bottle @ home via trade with pineypower. Thanks so much! Pours a dark rust orange appearance with a foamy, cream colored head. Very spicy, pear/apple, chewy, toasty malty aroma. A bit thin. Cinnamon, apple, toasted malty, light caramel, a bit smoky, light citrusy flavor. Not my favorite but a cool beer.

KyotoLefty (10610) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 14, 2014
Bottle from BOTW. Caramel malt nose, like an Alt somewhat, chocolate, herbal spicing, orange, mint maybe. solid malt, not so sweet, spicy. Chocolate and caramel, herbs, cinnamon, nutmeg maybe. bitter, slightly astringent finish. Clean enough, but the spices are a bit much. Well, that’s what it aims for. Not my cup of tea, but not bad.

12oz. Tasted at RBSG grand tasting post-tasting. Clear amber color. Thin of-white ring of head. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light rough texture. Caramel malt. Bigger spice taste. Moderate sweet, moderate spicy. Tastes OK. Meh. I feel like even if this was fresh it still wouldn’t be my speed.

1/6/14. Noles need to get it together right now. 12oz bottle thanks to JBVatkeens. Almost clear amber pour with a small khaki head that fades to a ring. Mild aroma, malty, light bready and biscuit notes, subtle spice. Light, but nice. I hate spice bombs. Malty flavor, toasted caramel, bread, biscuit, subtle spice, lingers a touch. Mild, but not bad at all.
