Troobie99's rating

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 3/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 5/20

My rating is suspect because the bottle I got was in Oregon and I’m not sure it was perfectly fresh (and damn those clear bottles!). I’ve had beers like this under tropical sun that were like droplets of nectar. But an old bottle under cloudy NW skies is something else altogether. I say go to Trinidad and try it--either way you’ll be happy.

coil (71) - - AUG 11, 2017
330ml bottle from The Co-op, Reading. Urine colour with white head. Watery vegetable oil, water, corn, corn syrup, grains, straw, very light bitterness. Thin, watery body.

jjsint (3216) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Bottle from Turtle Bay, Leicester. Yellow and clear with a massive amountof carbonation. Malt and lemon aroma. Sweet corn syrup taste with almost no alcohol. Boring but passable.

eunck (213) - Hamburg, Hamburg, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2017
Clear golden, very watery, low carbonation. Surprising how a beer can feel so thin and still taste so unpleasant. No taste really, just a low bitterness that gives this drink the excuse to call itself beer. Why is this shipped around the world?

cattaneopapa (405) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2017
330ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear gold colour with a small head. Stinky skunky aroma. Taste has notes of bread and citrus with slightly hoppy finish. <edium bodied with moderate carbonation.

MarcoBasile (446) - DENMARK - JUN 7, 2017
Light aroma. Malts and slight sign of hops. Pour is pale golden with a frothy white head. Taste is light but with decent bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

jooilakon (192) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Bottle 330 ml from an Amazon order of Latin beers. Aroma is malty. White head and clear golden color. Taste of sweet malts. Watery and plain pale lager.

dj (620) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2017
Bottle, 330ml. Pale straw colour with a small white head. Aroma of fresh hops with a hint of spice. So far so good. A tiny amount of hop flavour, rice dominates. Thin and watery body. Moderate carbonation. Not the worst lager I’ve ever had.

gripweed57 (2593) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 16, 2017
From old tasting notes. Medium gold color. Fine bead white head. Light malty aroma. Zesty tart grainy malt palate hints at citrus. Refreshing light dry finish and mild lingering aftertaste. Decently refreshing, especially when on a beach in the Bahamas.

minutemat (5689) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2017
275ml bottle, thanks to Blackhaddock for this donation! Pours clear gold, thin white ring. Aroma bears some sweetcorn traits, grassy. Taste follows with more of the same, moderately sweet but not unpleasant. There are definitely worse Caribbean lagers.
