Troobie99's rating

My rating is suspect because the bottle I got was in Oregon and Im not sure it was perfectly fresh (and damn those clear bottles!). Ive had beers like this under tropical sun that were like droplets of nectar. But an old bottle under cloudy NW skies is something else altogether. I say go to Trinidad and try it--either way youll be happy.

Bottle from my brother. Pale gold with a medium head. Aroma of gran and malt. Flavor is corn syrup, malt, grass.

Pale, clear yellow pour with small, quick white foam. Corn and grassy in the nose with mild manky notes. Sweet taste with touches of hay and cracker malt. Thin, watery body, light fizz, sour finish. Comparatively little bitterness. Not quite as evocative as the Kalik, but close.

Not horrible as long as you keep your expectations low like like Hollywood movie sequels. Golden clear and tasteless. Some light cloying tang from malt. Bottle at bar in Woodbrook.

Light beer consistency. Corn and other grains. Crisp, light, sweet. Thirst quencher but little else. Bottle @ Lucky Lobster, Hopkins, Belize.

At work: pours gold with a crappy white head. Aroma is sugar and light skunk... how can one avoid with clear bottles. Taste is sweet and mostly inoffensive.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear straw colour with a small white head. Aroma of slightly bread malt, corn, grass, grain. Taste: sweet grains, corn, grassy hops. Sweet with little to no bitterness, thin texture. Average Caribbean lager good for a country tick. Easily drinkable and refreshing.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours pale yellow with no head. Aroma is grass, cooked vegetables, corn. Taste is sweet, corn syrup, cardboard. Dont think Ive ever had a good beer from a transparent bottle.

Can on a 95 degree summer day. This tastes like Bud Lights dirty cousin. It displays its roughness right from the first sip: its pretty corn heavy and biting, and it has a noticeably skunk flavor. Still, its one redeeming grace is that it did a pretty good job of cooling me down quickly, so it has that going for it.

330ml can. Pours a crystal clear light gold with a thin, white head. Aroma has nice notes of traditional hops, grain, and slight sweet caramel. Taste is balanced. Mild hops, sweet grains, and a touch of bitterness at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Clean and refreshing in the mouth with a very slightly dry finish. Overall pretty macro but ok for what it is.
