Bottles enjoyed in campsites in Namibia and Botswana during my safari trip August 2012.Bottles bought in bottle stores. Aroma is a bit sweet and malty.Medium body and carbonation.Very nice and refreshing beer in my opinion.Looks like the locals love it to.

Pale, golden with small white head. Grainy aroma. Medium sweet favour with a light bitterness in the background. Thin texture, not much happening in the finish. Unremarkable, but decent industrial lager that is a welcome after-work refreshment.

tasted in parallel the versions brewed in Botswana and South Africa - and they are quite different. South African version: clear golden colour, medium sized typical pale lager head; aroma of grains, some citric notes, hay and bread, maybe hints of herbal notes, too; taste is the same with corny sweetness; points: 4, 3, 4, 2, 7 - 2.0 The one breved in Botswana: brighter golden colour, medium sized white head; aroma of grass, hay, acidic and metallic notes; taste is the same with metallic-artificial like bitterness as well as some cardboard; points: 2, 3, 2, 1, 5 - 1,3 In summary: it is strange that these two beers are aliased despite the obviously different recipes. I tried to give the average of them as rating

33cl bottle at work. Sweetish cornish poor lager. Easy to drink, refreshing, hasnt seen too much barley or hops. Waste of water.

340ml Bottle: Pours a crystal clear light golden with thin white head. Subtle fruity aromas that are over powered by a metallic note possibly from the bottle cap. Bitterness is more than the average lager with a definite apple flavour as well. Finishes sweet with medium carbonation. Medium light bodied which works well in summer.

Gammel utgtt 340 ml flaske, men m jo bare teste. Ser fortsatt bra ut, gylden brun klar med fingerhyt hvitt skum. Er nok litt FOR gammel denne, lukter rdvinseddik. Noe ntteaktig karamell sitter igjen. Smaken var eddik, med noe stlighet. Kan ikke rate til noe annet enn snitt.

Bottle from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants 200516. Nothing to get too excited about with this beer, just another pale lager really. Thin bodied with a low lying white head. I didnt realise that this was the South African version until I read the label.

33cl can as a gift. Pours clear, pale golden with a rather small, white head. Grainy and slightly fruity aroma (ripe pears) with hints of cooked vegetables and hops. Moderate sweet and much cleaner and less sweet than expected - even some bitterness is noticeable. Fairly easy to drink, but far from interesting, but I have certainly tasted worse.

Can into glass in Malawi. Golden w decent white head and moderate carbonation. Minimal aroma of hay. Initial taste has distinct corn flavor that turns into a bit of a lingering sweetness followed by very mild grassy hop notes and watery finish at the end. Slightly slick almost creamy mouthfeel but not particularly pleasant. Will not be going back to this one. Ingredients listed as water barley malt (gluten), maize extract and hops. 5.5%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is full of hops and corn. The taste is full of hops and honey. Typical pilsner color. Not that impressing but I have grown a big fond of this beer since the first time I traveled to South Africa. I have become a decent drinker of this beer, drinking it on a daily basis on my 14 days long vacation.
