Very nice beer wich the locals love drinking. It is the soutg african beer of my choice
Pretty solid sweet lager-y beer. Lighting yellow, not much head. Easy drinking and goes well with South African climate! SarkyNorthener (4614) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2017
Can from Zimbabwe thanks to a friend from Work. Golden beer with medium head. Aroma is lightly sweet grain and malts. Taste is straw, cereal grain and light hop bitterness. Quite smooth. Love this in a nostalgic way. egg (391) - USA - JUN 3, 2017
Standard lager. Smells like metal. Tastes like light malts, biscuit or crackers, grass. Drink cold and enjoy it for what it is nazzty (1376) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2017
Strange metallic bitter aftertaste that really don’t want to leave after a zip of this watery lager. Not my kind of beer. BeerLieutenant38 (97) - Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA - MAR 23, 2017
Pale, golden with small white head. Grainy aroma. Medium sweet favour with a light bitterness in the background. Thin texture, not much happening in the finish. Unremarkable, but decent industrial lager that is a welcome after-work refreshment.

tasted in parallel the versions brewed in Botswana and South Africa - and they are quite different.
South African version: clear golden colour, medium sized typical pale lager head; aroma of grains, some citric notes, hay and bread, maybe hints of herbal notes, too; taste is the same with corny sweetness; points: 4, 3, 4, 2, 7 - 2.0
The one breved in Botswana: brighter golden colour, medium sized white head; aroma of grass, hay, acidic and metallic notes; taste is the same with metallic-artificial like bitterness as well as some cardboard; points: 2, 3, 2, 1, 5 - 1,3
In summary: it is strange that these two beers are aliased despite the obviously different recipes. I tried to give the average of them as rating androman (2322) - Maarssen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 12, 2017
33cl bottle at work. Sweetish cornish poor lager. Easy to drink, refreshing, hasn’t seen too much barley or hops. Waste of water. AntonyWilson (363) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - NOV 23, 2016
340ml Bottle: Pours a crystal clear light golden with thin white head. Subtle fruity aromas that are over powered by a metallic note possibly from the bottle cap. Bitterness is more than the average lager with a definite apple flavour as well. Finishes sweet with medium carbonation. Medium light bodied which works well in summer. Gammel utgått 340 ml flaske, men må jo bare teste. Ser fortsatt bra ut, gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Er nok litt FOR gammel denne, lukter rødvinseddik. Noe nøtteaktig karamell sitter igjen. Smaken var eddik, med noe søtlighet. Kan ikke rate til noe annet enn snitt. mkel07 (5963) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2016
Bottle from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants 200516. Nothing to get too excited about with this beer, just another pale lager really. Thin bodied with a low lying white head. I didn’t realise that this was the South African version until I read the label.
