"The great balance of taste and refreshment". Britains best selling beer since 1971.
<a href=http://www.carling.com>Website

The "Black Label" has been dropped from the name in the UK. The brand, originally Canadian, was launched multinationally in the 1960s and since then ownership fell into the hands of different breweries in different countries. The original Carling OKeefe brewery that developed this beer was purchased by Molson in the 1980s. Coors later purchased both Molson and the UK license holders Bass. Carling Black Label is still brewed in Canada

Bottle @ Bi Village, Fazana, Croatia. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of light malt, light grainy, hay, light cardboard. Flavor is light sweet, malt, grain, loads of cardboard. Thin watery body, lively carbonation. 030816

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2016 No aroma except for faint dishwasher detergent and grass. Weak head that dissipates within seconds. Pours watery yellow. Overly carbonated. Hay, grass and some faint malt constitutes the otherwise metallic taste. Dry cardboardy finish. One of the worst beers I?ve had. There are much better cheap macro beers out there.

A very bland watery lager. Pours golden, with a slight head, very fizzy due to high carbonation. The flavours are bland, some citrus, some slight floral notes and a slightly sharp finish. This lager sells millions each year, but it was surpassed years ago.

Slightly darker yellow pour. Very grainy with scant hops. Its a macro and tastes like a macro. On tap @ The Grafton, Cork, Ireland.

Pint at the Rock, Cambridge. well Ive drunk almost everything in here, so desperate ticks call for desperate measures. Darkish gold with a big white head. The head settles quickly and leaves some sort of odd film. Smells of naked malt and salty sweaty lemon. Doesnt taste of much, like alcoholic barley water, but the aftertaste has some odd plastic citrus note. Its actually not actively bad, but certainly disappointing, although I have no idea why I may have expected better...

Bland like spit with a hint of lemon urinal cake. This is the UKs most popular beer, probably because the price is so cheap, and it sounds local. Aside from that its an ok beer to drink as its blandness makes it refreshing and you can almost finish a pint or can without realizing you have drunk anything at all. Not as bad as drinking stomach acid or Horlicks.

Enjoyed: from a bottle. Nothing special, but drinkable. I expected less because, I did not really like it few times earlier. This one was made by Zagreb Brewery. Common and often beer; immemorable.
