"The great balance of taste and refreshment". Britains best selling beer since 1971.
<a href=http://www.carling.com>Website

The "Black Label" has been dropped from the name in the UK. The brand, originally Canadian, was launched multinationally in the 1960s and since then ownership fell into the hands of different breweries in different countries. The original Carling OKeefe brewery that developed this beer was purchased by Molson in the 1980s. Coors later purchased both Molson and the UK license holders Bass. Carling Black Label is still brewed in Canada

Enjoyed: from a bottle. Nothing special, but drinkable. I expected less because, I did not really like it few times earlier. This one was made by Zagreb Brewery. Common and often beer; immemorable.

From Hipecor. 50cl can. In Ikeas pint glass. Reading CSHTP6 Ch7. Much more balanced than other adjunt lagers, with the corn little noticeable. Very drinkable and smooth. Good body for its low ABV.

0.5 l can, had this one at Fuengirola. Pours a golden color with permanent foam, nice looking. It has no aroma at all. A bit watery, malty taste. No finishing, low carbonation, light body. No big deal, yet still refresing after the Spanish beers.

Los Cristianos, Tenerife 18/3 2016. 50 cl can from Dino Market. A rather strange place to pick up a Carling. But probably a result from a lot of Britons spending the winter on the Canary Islands. Pours clear yellow with white head. Settles as paperthin layer of foam. A little lacing on the side of the glass. Malty sweet aroma. Hay, grass and something chemical. Fizzy carbonation and watery palate. Bland taste dominated by sweet malt and something salty followed by light bitterness. Just because Celtic is advertising your brand on their football shirts it does not mean you make decent beer.

White frothy large head. Good lacing. Mostly diminishing. Dark yellow, clear, thin body. Aroma: honey, metal, light yeasty. Initial flavor: moderate sweet (honey). Final flavor: light bitter sweet; short duration. Palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Metalized mouthfeel. Slightly above Brazilian commercial average. 4s

Exactly what you are expecting to get from a Carling. Not bitter or sweet pretty carbonated, very light in colour.

Can. Only real use is to combine with lemonade to make a shandy as a thirst quencher.
