Clear gold, not much head action. Muted fruit hop aroma. Flavour is pale lager-esque, not much wheat in there, notes of banana. Low carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Nothing amazing, but pleasant enough.

500ml bottle from Reillys, Lisnaskea (2.29):
An average tasting bitter really, Im not entirely sure why it was labelled as a wheat beer but they obviously seen that some wheat was showing in the final beer & just ran with it even though it seemed like more of an English style bitter or pale ale to me. There was the odd touch of banana coming through along with a faint bit of citrus but for the most part it was a collection of earthy malts, biscuit & a moderate bitterness running through it. Overall this one wasnt a particularly good Carlow offering & it was miles away from some of the brewerys better beers.

Pours almost completely clear golden color topped with a relatively small white head. Very mild aroma, some fruity notes, some wheaty notes. Later on some caramel notes. Taste is sweet and fruity at first, some wheat and caramel notes. Very moderate bitterness in the finish.

DraftDodger (1164) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 1, 2016
Copenhagen 1/7 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Yellow label with something that looks like a blob of snot - or another kind of gunk and some celtic ornaments.Pours slightly hazy yellow with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is sweet and malty. Honey, grains and wet paper. Not especially strong. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is thin and watery. Medium sweet followed by sourness. Aftertaste is short and sour. Ive tasted way better beers from Carlow. This is the tongue out of the window.
