COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional light hop flavour balances the sweet malty caramel taste. The addition of a pinch of roast barley during the brewing process lends a distinctive roast bite which is balanced by a crisp dry medium bitterness.

Bottle from Tesco. Pours red with off white head. Not a huge aroma, but there are signs of dried fruit, caramel. Flavour of dark dried fruit, red grape, Apple, pine, hint of toffee/caramel, biscuity. I have tasted plenty Irish reds with a similar abv that have a bigger flavour. It's not a bad beer though

Clear deep ruby colour with thick slightly tanned head, aroma is maltly , dark malts , caramel and roasted barley, taste is just the same but this time roastiness comes first, low carbonation, slightly watery.

Pours nearly clear dark amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of carmel and touches of fruit and yeast. Bitter, roasty and slightly metallic flavour, with sweetish notes of yeast, malt and caramel and hints of fruit. Bitter, hoppy aftertaste with estery notes. Nothing particularly exciting but not bad for the style.

Aroma is ok but nothing special. I really really like the red appearance. Taste is good. Good finish.

One of the worst smelling beers I've had. Perhaps a dodgy bottle but tasted relatively ok. Musty gone-off chocolate smell. Slightly better malty coffee taste but in general too biscuity for me.

Keg at dublin airport. Red fruit And caramel nose. Lovely roasted caramel hit in taste and refreshing hop bitterness. Great one

Klares, dunkles Rot mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, reichlich Karamell, Röstaromen, etwas Schokolade, leicht herb.
