Cinnamon, fresh orange juice and coconut were added to this juicy Amber Ale to spice it up for the long winter nights. The hops and yeast lend a fruitiness that compliments the spice additions. Dual purpose Northern Brewer hops add to the spicy taste.

500ml bottle from Bradley’s. Pours ruby red with a thin lasting beige head. Butterscotch, bitter berries, hint of metal, touch of cinnamon on the nose. Taste is medium malt sweetness and redcurrant bitterness. Smooth heavy malt finish. Not very wintry and a bit dull. Grand though.

elbernays (1752) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 6, 2013
Pours dark clear amber with nice slight tan head. Head is nice lacing Creamy look. Aesthetically pleasing. Aroma is some spice, clove and toffee. Sweet Flavour, spice. Mild bitterness on finish. Body is light and is too light to give a good mouthfeel and you are left wanting a bit.

ciaranc (1102) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 8, 2013
500ml bottle from Redmonds. Dark, clear amber, copper, foamy white head that doesn’t last. Cinnamon, clove, all spice, a little dried fruit and caramel in the aroma. More clove and cinnamon in the flavour. Thin body, medium soft carbonation. Finish is more spice and some oily hops. Nice one.

DSG (15623) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 21, 2013
Draught at Porter & Sons. Deep golden-copper color. Malty aroma with some caramel, minerally and dusty notes, light fruitiness and light spicy notes. Sweetish malty flavor, slightly caramelly, with some spicy hints and a moderatelyy bitter dusty and earthy hoppy finish. Light to medium-bodied, nitro mouthfeel. Drinkable.

kerenmk (5397) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 17, 2013

On tap at ’Ocean Bar’ Dublin. Appearance: Ginger, slightly hazy, medium off white head. Aroma: A little orange, ginger, chocolate(?), grassy. Flavour: malty with a creamy texture like it’s nitro, chocolate again, grass, a tiny bit of ginger with a mild hop & light orange finish. heavy (2925) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 10, 2012
13/11 Draft at Sheridan’s pub, Zagreb. Amber bodied with smaller to medium sized head. Grapefruit and, to lesser extent cinnamon aroma. Fine, pleasantly sweet biscuit flavor, also dry, like regular red ale with orange and cinnamon spices of course that gave it much more interesting character. Medium body with nice, dry and long lasting orange finish. Served a bit cold and could be appreciated only as it got warmer. Another nice special from this brewery, too bad regulars are such a mediocrity!

ogivlado (8500) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 30, 2012
On tap at Sheridan’s Pub, Zagreb. Shiny orange/amber coloured, small off-white head, mild malty fruity nose. Quite weak and watery taste but in other hand very tasty. Fruity (orange dominates), light spicy hoppy with bitter finish. Enjoyable and easy-drinkable.
