COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Draft. Sort of like a guiness but a little bit sweeter and with less body. Not bad, not awesome, not bad, not awesome - or so we say...

Had on tap at Brannigan Brothers in Lansing, MI. Very tasty, comparable to Guinness but not as bitter. One of my favorite stouts out there. Will not disappoint in a Black and Tan either.

Bottle, some roast in the aroma, pours a nice dark color with a tan head that lasts mildly. Nice slight sweetness, some chalk, a decent but stout but a bit watery and light. Not bad but nothing very special either.

Aroma of very dark roasted malt. Black color with ruby hilites at the edges. The tan head struggled, but collapsed and filmed. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is really smooth toasted, nigh burnt, malt. There is malt sweetness, roasted bitter, and I think hop bitter. It finishes rather dry, with that strong roast persisting on and on. There might be a touch of smoke. A very flavorful drink.

12 oz bottle. Poured deep brown with a nice initial cap of medium brown head. The aroma picked up dry-roasted chocolate and caramel, but was rather empty.. just didnt establish a personality. The flavor had dry-roasted semi-sweet chocolates, molasses, and caramel at the core with stale floral bitterness and coffee grounds on the edges.. sticky, rather ugly molasses and chocolate on the finish. Lighter-bodied, tacky, and dry on the palate.. Im not sure if it was the carbonation or not, but something gave a sharp, prickly impression at several points. This was OK.
