COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout has a robust flavour with a ful bodied and smooth mouth feel. The roast flavours lead to a dry espresso like finish. A generous addition of fuggles hops lead to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Poured watery black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of chocolate. Good smell. Some flavor of chocolate but very thin and watery. Extremely easy to drink.

11.2oz bottle. Dark brown with 2 inch slowly fading light brown head and solid lacing. Roasted malt and mild smoky & caramel aroma. Smoky & roasted malt taste, mild bitter finish, a little weak. A notch above Guiness but I’m not sure about those awards on the label.

I’m not a lover of stouts, but this was a beautiful beer. It had a much more approachable taste and palate, than Guinness. This is truly a brew worht appreciating. The aroma is somewhat smokey. It’s appearance is the classic very dark brown, not huge head, but acceptable. Flavor is definitely the huge. It’s roast, toasty, smokey sweetness is very delicious. Palate is what really makes this a stout worth choosing over the others. If you have been turned off by Guinness hoppy bitterness, then this will reopen your taste buds to the stout class.

Draft. Sort of like a guiness but a little bit sweeter and with less body. Not bad, not awesome, not bad, not awesome - or so we say...

Had on tap at Brannigan Brothers in Lansing, MI. Very tasty, comparable to Guinness but not as bitter. One of my favorite stouts out there. Will not disappoint in a Black and Tan either.

Bottle, some roast in the aroma, pours a nice dark color with a tan head that lasts mildly. Nice slight sweetness, some chalk, a decent but stout but a bit watery and light. Not bad but nothing very special either.

Aroma of very dark roasted malt. Black color with ruby hilites at the edges. The tan head struggled, but collapsed and filmed. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is really smooth toasted, nigh burnt, malt. There is malt sweetness, roasted bitter, and I think hop bitter. It finishes rather dry, with that strong roast persisting on and on. There might be a touch of smoke. A very flavorful drink.
