From the 12oz bottle purchased at 1 for the Road in Wexford, PA for $4.00 on the price tag. Nearly perfect and simply delicious. Sweet aromas give way to a very strong roasted taste on the first mouthing. By the end of the glass you think you’ve had a strong cup of dark blend coffee. A medium body and a dark opaque color are perfectly matched. Seek this one out at your first opportunity. dlovell2 (2090) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 23, 2010
Dark brown with large tan head. Roasted malt aroma. Great roasted smokey flavor with a caramel flavor. Slight metalic finish. Very good beer. SanfordBrewer (1574) - Sanford, Florida, USA - OCT 5, 2011

Aroma and flavor: lots of chocolate and roast malt with a hint of blackened malt, woodsy english hops.
Smooth and sessional, a pleasant surprise.

Tiefschwarz mit beigem Schaum. Trocken-malzger Geruch. Langer, intensiver Nachgeschmack.
Tolles Stout! --> 14/12/14/14
Served in a pint right out of the fridge:
Pours an opaque black robe showing a timid maple hue. Seems pretty dense at first glance and you get 2-3 fingers of roughly structured hazel head. Retention is pretty good as you spot huge chuncks of foam here and there.
This brew offers a nose dominated by malted barley giving strong notes of instant coffee and dark chocolate. Alcohol does also pack quite a olfactory punch for such a low ABV stout.
On the tongue, the brew is as any regular stout offering an attack of roasted barley and hops with a liquorish feel. In this case, the dark chocolate slightly overpowers the instant coffee elements. Having a good density, the stout finishes nice and slow with a dark coffee beans bitterness.
Overall this is quite a nice stout with good density and feel. You get what you expect with more flavour and balance than a typical stout. Cheers! Davedavid (6) - Lewes, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 4, 2016 does not count
Very nice.. complex, balanced, mild, malty, dry, chocolatey, smooth.. really pleasant and would make it my tipple if I could get it in my local on tap.. could do with being a tiny bit sweeter, but that is a matter of personal taste remALUS (335) - Kaunas, LITHUANIA - APR 14, 2016

Dark brown pour with a tan/light mocha head which unfortunately dissipates quickly. Pleasant nose of bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, toffee and vanilla. Slight bitterness balanced with coffee, malts and toasted vanilla. Light bodied and robust. fuzzcro (295) - Illinois, USA - MAR 18, 2016
My bottle label was colored green...everything else matches up though. Purchased to tip for St. Paddy’s but doing so a day late...wish I had gotten a six instead of a single...excellent stout, I will drink it again!
