Nice deep brown to black color with a huge head. Not a Guinness type head mind you - large bubbles in this puppy. Way too much carbonation. Roasted malt evident in flavor. Roasted character is complimented with smoke and some coffee notes. Finished fairly dry. Jokes (1453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2002
This was an average stout. Some roasted malts, a bit of chocolate. However, neither was enough; it seemed a bit bland. Creamy and smooth, certainly it was easy to drink, but just needed something. heykevin (1281) - Decorah, Iowa, USA - NOV 4, 2002
Typical stout aroma--not a lot of hops. Very clean maltiness-I see how austinpowers makes the schwarzbeer comparison. There is a background roastiness, that is rather nice. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - NOV 10, 2002
Dark chestnut color with a light brown with light accented head. Sour mash aroma. Very dry roasted malt flavors. Somewhat watery. Just a bit to lactic for my tastes. fiulijn (20505) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2003
Dark color, brownish thick head, beautiful lace. Some malt and sharp but not strong roasted barley; yeast. Reasonable stout, a bit metallic, dry.

Just like the photo, but look quick because the head is gone in 60 seconds. Great Brussels lace. Very light nose of lactose cream, and cheap chocolate. Nice hops all over the taste, but everything else (chocolates and roasty flavors)is very light and never comes to the forefront even as it warmed. kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 18, 2003
This stout leans more toward the bitter side of the spectrum. Very dark. Flavors of coffee and chocolate are abundant. Very dry finish. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 28, 2003
nice dark color, but has a very light foam. kinda light on the flavor. for some reason i'm not overly impressed with it... doesn't hit the right beer eroginous zones.... Garrat (1347) - Suffolk, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2004
