Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee. (Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 6 Aug 2009) Dark brown colour with brief head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee and dark bread. Solid coffee bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Possibly a touch drier and hoppier than their O’Haras Celtic Stout. Nice and well balanced stout.

onlyrocknroll (379) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - APR 8, 2008
Cask @ Easter Beer Festival, Franciscan Well, Cork. Nice to have a dry stout on cask rather than nitro-keg, the way God intended it. Black with a medium foamy head. The aroma is quite dry with some coffee. The roasted flavours are a little mild but the beer has some character due to being genuinely dry with a long finish. Medium - light body. Very nice.
