COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with inspiration from both a Belgian Wit and an IPA. Combining a Belgian yeast strain and additions of orange peel with hops used in an IPA results in a very fruity and refreshing beer, perfect for the summer time.

Yellow/golden hazy color with fluffy white head. Light to medium body, good carbonation, some lacing. Floral and earthy aroma of malts, citruses, citrus zest, tangerine and lager-like aromas. Grassy taste of citruses, malts, bread, wheat and earthy hops. Medium bitterness. It has characteristics of a wheat beer. Fair one.

Eructoblaster (4268) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 6, 2017
Bottle - 500ml. Hazy golden body with a thin, white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with citrusy, yeasty, and herbal finish. Its malty/hoppy taste carries spruce notes. Ends with a fair bitter/herbal finish. Ordinary.

Trolleo (1609) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 30, 2017
Medium to high coriander aromas, some cloves, spicy, medium fruitiness, little bit malty from the background, little bit perfume when it warms up, not offensive. Bit hazy golden color with medium sized white head. Nice coriander in taste, pretty bitter in aftertaste, little bit grassy, dry-ish finish. Thin body, sparkly carbonation. Nice Wit IPA.

UXO (1896) - CANADA - MAR 21, 2017
Appearance: cloudy pale ale with one finger of fluffy off-white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: orange peel, cloves, wheat, stone fruit, light plastic/band-aid. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry bitter, astringent, and mildly warming finish. (3/5) This is a tough style to get right, in my experience - whether you’re talking “Belgian” or “White” IPA, the intention is to meld characteristics of Belgian-style Witbiers with IPAs, typically American-style highly hopped IPAs. I’m not all that impressed with this one: the aromas and flavours are both a bit muddled, and there’s some astringency - but worse is the hint of band-aid or plastic in the finish. It’s only a hint, so it’s not a deal-breaker, but it is another minor flaw in a beer with several. (12/20) 6/10 #ryansbooze ryansbooze.com
