True to it’s name, “Leann Folláin” being the Gaelic for “wholesome stout”, our full-bodied extra Irish stout is a fantastic example of how good stout can taste. Flavours of dark chocolate tones with a hint of vanilla combine with the mild mocha aroma. Opaque black in appearance with a tan head, this luxurious stout has a classic European hop bitterness giving a refreshing bite after the chocolate subsides.

Round roasted malt aromas paired with shy soft vanilla over thin coffee.

Bottle. Rubbish-black, medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, chocolate bonbons, cappuccino, lactic tones, coffee. Taste is neutral with dry finish, roasty bitterness. Coffee, milk, pralines. Very smooth, silky texture, medium to fuller body, high carbonation.
Greatly balanced and full flavored stout.

6% alk.

Cask at GBBF 2017, Olympia, London, Aug 2017 - Opaque black in colour. Good creamy tan head. Good lacing. Very malty; roasty/burnt malts, dark chocolate, caramel, some coffee, vanilla. Decent hop bitterness. Dry. Bitter dry roast malty throughout. Good dry stout. (2017-08)

puboflyons (3508) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 18, 2017
From the 330 ml. bottle with a best before 28 Feb 2018 date. Deep dark brown to near black pour with a long lasting, tan colored and delicate head. Luscious aromas of dark roasted sweet malts, coffee, chocolate, with a low hop profile. The mouthfeel is medium to full. The taste is sweet, roasty, with a warming dry finish. It is only 6% but it almost seems to have a barrel-aged feel to it. This is one of the better stouts I have had in many months.

Cacao, very dark roast filter coffee, dark, charred malts. Very dark, hazy brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Medium bitter. Dry, dark roasted malts, charcoal, cacao, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice Dry Stout, rich and well-balanced. Cask at GBBF17, Kensington Olympia.
