COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
True to it’s name, “Leann Folláin” being the Gaelic for “wholesome stout”, our full-bodied extra Irish stout is a fantastic example of how good stout can taste. Flavours of dark chocolate tones with a hint of vanilla combine with the mild mocha aroma. Opaque black in appearance with a tan head, this luxurious stout has a classic European hop bitterness giving a refreshing bite after the chocolate subsides.

Butelka 500ml. @Gibneys Pub.Malahide. czarny kolor. Piana kremowa ,lekko bezowa opada dosc szybko w aromacie i smaku przewodzi ciemna gorzka czekolada, kawa ,kakao, lukrecja . Slody mocno palone i bardzo wyrazne. Lekka nuta wanilii na finiszu. Niezly stout

Black colored, medium tan creamy head, nice lacing, OK lasting. Aroma is malty, coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, very inviting. Taste is medium sweet malt, roasted malt and dark chocolate, some toffee, coffee, vanilla, medium roasty bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy-silky. Excellent! 330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 10/28/2017. Pours crystal clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, herbal, floral, and grass; with lighter notes of vanilla, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, nuttiness, pepper, yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of roast/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, herbal, floral, and grass; with lighter notes of vanilla, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, nuttiness, pepper, yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, smoke, char, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and zero acrid/astringent roast/hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness, increasing through the glass. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an incredible dry stout! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very rich and complex roasted barley flavors; with complementing/balancing earthy hops and yeast in the background. A highly enjoyable offering, and best I’ve had in the style!
