[Bottle from Dublin airport, Ireland]
Bottle. Dark brown, almost black colour with creamy light brown head. Strong aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts. Oily, full bodied with lively carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 4, 2012
The most beautiful woman in the world is my future mother in law who in spite of her prejudice against my predilection for exotic beer, brought this back to New Zealand from Ireland in the face of her own misgivings about its ability to survive the journey. Surely she is worth a million in prizes.
This beer was as dark as it could get and displayed only a smattering of russet in the dimple of the glass. The aroma was of chocolate, caramel and burned charriness along with shoe polish and freshness. Flavors of burnt toffee, dark chocolate and rum cake. Just more-ish and sippable. A trace of spiciness is there along with a big helping of licorice, but the palate is taking in the classic Irish stout flavours and aromas. What a treat. What a wonderful treat. A bit aggressive on the bubbles, but they don't lie on the smoothness. Not much christmas taste-ish but great in any other aspect

No can do stouts better than the Irish. A bit too much carbonation pulls down the impression, but gee what a great and well-balanced taste and the aftertaste is delightfully long. martjoobolut (4387) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 19, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2014 BB 06.09.2014, 330ml bottle. Pours pitch black with tan head. The head stays. Aroma is milky, creamy, licorice, some cacao with raisin like notes. Flavor is very creamy, rather sweet, chocolate, coffee, roasted notes, some slight tart, raisins. Finish is nice dark chocolate bitter. Overall: a great creamy stout. oliodnb (662) - ITALY - MAR 1, 2014
Black, creamy beige head, a lot of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. Lovely creamy mouthfeel. Some smoked flavor in the aftertaste. Excellent stout. PawelD (311) - Gdańsk, POLAND - AUG 28, 2014
Piwo butelkowe. W aromacie kawa, czekolada i karmel. Piwo gęste i pełne. Świetny stout ale troszeczkę za bardzo nasycony.
