The best of Irish malts combine with a single hop to make this thirst quenching blonde beer. Higher in bitterness than other blondes, this beer breaks the mould while retaining the characteristics of a natural blonde. Brewed to the European Blonde style, this beer is approaching a cross between a pilsner and a blonde with the smoothness of a blonde ale and a bite that is notably stronger and lasting. 10.75°

Simple appearance. The beer has a golden color and barely foam. The smell has a touch of metal. There is also a mild hop smell. The taste is not bad, but rather simple. The metal aroma that is slightly present in the smell is absent in the taste. There is a mild hop flavor. Not bad, but not very special. A nice beer to pour down on a sunny day.

On nitrotap at Sheridan’s, Zagreb (thanks Željko!). Damn, didn’t realize this was so "rare". Lucky I spotted it on the tap list/blackboard. Golden body, clear, nitro head. Aroma slightly muted by the nitrogen, of course, but ok enough, just some light herbal, vaguely flowery notes, somewhat soapy. Smooth (surprise surprise) toasty malty taste, some herbal hops, nice subdued apricot in the background. Quite drinkable and good for what it is. Pretty flawless "everyday" beer. I’d up the hops a little, but that’s just me.

Draught. Hazy gold with a solid head, good lacing. Aroma is grain an a little fruit. Flavour is light citrus hop, a dry sweet ferment base. Palate is dry, a little fizzy on the tongue.

Flight done at Brewers Corner in Kilkenny. Samples healthy portion, 8 oz. Tasty notes as follows: Irish Stout: coffee, dry, tasty Irish Pale Ale: good pun on name, good flavor, nice hop balance Irish Red: strong alcohol flavor, finish is taste of pool water, hard to finish, biased against style in general, had in nitro as well which was more enjoyable Helles Lager: crisp, mild hop finish Natural Blonde: drinkable, koslh-esque? Leann Follain: Barrel aged flavor, enjoyable like most irish dry stouts Double IPA: Boozy, strong hop flavor, not up there with the good ones Widow Retro Pale Ale: conservative, middle of the road, not offensive but not great Amber Adventure: tastes similar to pale ale, hops present and noticeable, bitter, caramel malt Winter Star: spicy, winer holiday flavor

Draught somewhere in Dublin (sorry, forgot the place). More citrus than hops in the taste. Quite refreshing.

Draught @ brewery corner. Brilliant gold, foamy white head, lots of bubbles, looks great. Lots of hay and grass in the aroma. Flavour follows the nose, grassy straw notes, palette is soft but quite robust, soft carbonation, short finish.

kerenmk (4643) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 28, 2013
Draught at Porter & Sons. Pours hazy blond with white head. Grainy and floral in the nose, a little sweet and also pear. Tastes grainy, a little rotten and sweet with bitter undertones. Light body, grainy finish, fizzy. Gets better in the 3rd sip.
