Pours dark red in the glass. Nose and taste of malts, malts and more malts. Rated 7/10/2000 slowrunner77 (12569) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2014
"a drinkable brew. nice maltiness (nutty?) to it, but it’s pretty thin and otherwise boring. better than other CB beers, though."

Bottle. Pours a nice red-brownish colou with an average lasting head. Nice aroma of hops and toasted malt with caramel, which is even more profound in the flavour along with a nice soft fruitiness. Good mouthfeel. The aftertaste is long lasting and just so pleasant. Brewed in Canada on licence by permission from Carlsberg. Great amber beer. Why is this tasty beer not brewed in Denmark? kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

clean red color, whispy head, malty aroma, good hop flavor that warms to a tartness then a bitterness for an aftertaste

Hazy amber red color with a small but good head. Funky slightly malty aroma with a hint of cardboard. Flavour is slightly sweet with a touch of nutty hops and an odd lingering aftertaste. Decent palate for a macro. Was actually halfway enjoyable even if I didn’t really pull out anything much to write about.

Nothing special here . It does feel more than 5.6 % , light on other things , a bit harsh . Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2007
I thought this stuff was decent, nice maltiness to it and was worth getting again if the price is right. CapFlu (5129) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 4, 2003
Carlsberg with red food colouring? Rather interesting trick; like green beer on St.Patty's Day. Boring oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 6, 2006
Pours a amber color. Aromas of malts and a hint of hops. Flavor is sweet malt, could use more hops. Ron (4085) - Rochester, New York, USA - FEB 13, 2002
