COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carlsberg Export has been 4.8% abv in the UK since January 2012

An OK lager. Aroma is of apples, floral and citrussy grassy hops. Taste is similar of grassy hops, some floral notes followed by slightly sweet malt. The ABV has gotten weaker over the years, but this is still an OK lager, I would pick it over Stella any day of the week.

Bottle pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Dry grain malt and grassy dry hop aroma. Taste of caramel and grain malt with light bitter hops. Non offensive euro macro, not bad but not interesting or unique.

Can 0,5ltr: Golden clear well balanced brew with an slightly bitter aftertaste. From all big breweries in the world, Carlsberg is mine world nr.1 amongst the ranks of AB-Inbev, Heineken, SAB-Miller and such.

Clear goldblond coloured beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Herby hoppy aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is herby hoppy sweet slight bitter dry.

660 Mil bottle at Pete’s ’housewarming’. Pale piss coloured. A standard Pale Lager with maybe just a tiny bit more. There’s definitely a bit of character to the hops. Grassy, floral. I’m getting carried away. This is a pale lager we’re talking about...

Bottle. Pale lager - yes - but I have to admit the head and lacing are good. Smells soapy citrus with a bittersweet, bready, skunky, washing up liquid finish. Not the worst but mediocre and left a we ebit of an unpleasant taste.....must be bad for me to say that as I DRINK ANYTHING

Moderately expressed fresh hop aroma in the future quickly becomes neutral. When pouring foam is formed with fine bubbles, not too high and thick. On the palate there is a noticeable watery and total neutrality, which does not allow to allocate anything once. The aftertaste is dominated by hop bitterness over light refreshing tartness with a little sour.

BaroneBirra (461) - Gorizia, ITALY - DEC 2, 2015
advent calendar #2. 0.33 bottle labeled as Copenhagen 1847 for Canada, brewed in DK. Just a standard industrial lager: pours clear gold, white head, faint crispy aroma, moderate bready taste, lot of carbonation...
