660 Mil bottle at Petes housewarming. Pale piss coloured. A standard Pale Lager with maybe just a tiny bit more. Theres definitely a bit of character to the hops. Grassy, floral. Im getting carried away. This is a pale lager were talking about...

Bottle. Pale lager - yes - but I have to admit the head and lacing are good. Smells soapy citrus with a bittersweet, bready, skunky, washing up liquid finish. Not the worst but mediocre and left a we ebit of an unpleasant taste.....must be bad for me to say that as I DRINK ANYTHING

Bottle from Center Parcs. Thin, faintly bitter flavour. Fine when sufficiently cold, other than that intolerable.

500 ml can at abv 4.8% bought at 7-Eleven on Fu Hing Streeet, Shek Wu Hui, Sheung Shui.

Piss pale golden yellow colour; One and a half finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with fizzy slow carbonation; Fragrant aroma of bready malt, with floral, shades of pineapple, molasses, white bread, lemon and light grass; Light sweet taste of light malt, with soda, light floral, molasses notes, light bread, light lemon and thin bitter grassy hops; Close to light body. Quite thin and soapy palate; Mouth feel is light maltyness in a soapy soda-ish background. No adjunct and no off-taste, some light floral and faint yellow fruits. Very light sweetness, soggy bread and light lemon to round. Easy Hoppiness is light floral, light lemon and thin grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is very low for an abrupt, very low astringent soda-ry finish; Slightly dry after taste. Easy and slightly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is not as solid nor crisp as the flagship Carlsberg Lager. Except its soapyness and light malt, theres really not much to rant about. Just an one-time easy drinking macro, no more no less.

Moderately expressed fresh hop aroma in the future quickly becomes neutral. When pouring foam is formed with fine bubbles, not too high and thick. On the palate there is a noticeable watery and total neutrality, which does not allow to allocate anything once. The aftertaste is dominated by hop bitterness over light refreshing tartness with a little sour.

advent calendar #2. 0.33 bottle labeled as Copenhagen 1847 for Canada, brewed in DK. Just a standard industrial lager: pours clear gold, white head, faint crispy aroma, moderate bready taste, lot of carbonation...

The best mainstream Euro-lager Ive had so far. Dont let the dank, generic grain aroma put you off, the admittedly slightly metallic taste isnt bad and it doesnt hang around long enough to offend anyway: you put it in your mouth, swallow, and the flavour makes a clean, crisp getaway. Drinkable and probably fairly good value for money.

Lys gylden, lite skum. Aromaen er malt og litt sdme. Smaken er malt og itt gress. Mildt bitter p tunga. Tynn konsistens, lite hente i munnflelelsen.
