Editor's note: originally only a very limited release (at 5.5% ABV) in 2001 for the 100 best Danish restaurants. Re-released as a standard release in the Semper Ardens series 2008.

Weisse, a wheat beer with a touch of apple juice, is the fourth offering in the Semper Ardens range of hand-brewed beers from Carlsberg. The light-golden 5.5% abv wheat beer follows the Semper Ardens theme of offering traditional beers brewed to the highest standards, but with a contemporary twist.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of wheat, banana, and cloves. The flavor is sweet wheaty with strong notes of citrus, but also medium notes of cloves and a touch of banana, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The mouthfeel is sparkling and the body thin.

Towering fine & dense yellowish head, slowly collapsing over fully hazy dark yellow beer with mossy shine. Vegetal nose, pickles and banana, very estery; sourness/pickles remaing long around. Sourish, fruity taste, starfruit, faint citrus, banana, unripe kiwi - everything but apple... Light body, faint wheat slickness. Weak, dull beer.

Hazy grey/yellow with a thick foamy white head. Aroma has some light wheat fruity esters. Flavor is fresh with some citrus notes along with the regular hefe weizen and some bitter grassy hops

Bottle. This beer is agains the odds. A type of beer many ratebeerians love to hate, and from a brewery maybe even more love to hate. Straw yellow with huge white longlasting and dense head. Aroma nice I find notes of oranges and corinander, but thats not in it, stil quite nice. Taste Wheat malt and some good carbonation, notes of spices. I like this one, even though it reminds me bore of a belgian white.

Bottle. An ok beer but not more than that, who is the brewer, in the start they told you. Citrus, hazy, a minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter.

660 ml bottle. Dense two-finger white head. Cloudy orange colored body. Aroma is acidukous apples, flowers and mild spices, very inviting. Taste is sweet fruity, wheatish, with notes of herbs and spices. A discreet bitterness is lurking under. Healthy body. Wheaty, acidulous fruity ending. A tasty and well-crafted Hefeweizen.
