Brilliant flavour, no bitterness, wonderful after taste, leaving you wanting more. This is ’off-the-wood’ only. Bottle/can not same with can having aluminium taste that’s not favourable. Conus (3) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 3, 2006 does not count
One of the best beers i have ever tasted, by the way, was reading a rating on this beer, this is not a light beer. matingara (7) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 17, 2011 does not count
when was growing up (in Sydney in the 70s) we only had about a dozen beers to choose from. i didn’t know any better. i remember the first time my Dad brought home a six pack of carlton draught. it was in a white can, with a cerulean symbol and a picture of a glass of golden beer. i remember thinking it was by far the best beer i had ever tasted. now that i know a bit more, i know that i like the "diacetyl" taste that is prominent in this beer. i still find it lively, refreshing and reminiscent of those "heady" days of youth, university, young women, lebanese restaurants (all you could eat for $2) etc. rchung (7) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2017 does not count
Very malty body, caramel notes, intense aroma. Frothy head. Light sweetness miko (32) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2004
Not bad actually, I was quite impressed with it. I wasn’t too keen on CUB beers especially after I had the putrid VB...Very drinkable.

CUB's best lager beer. Tastes great without the chemical flavour of VB or melbourne. Goes down easy and is smooth and light. Fez (17) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 8, 2003
One of the all time great tap beers. Seems to have its critics, although I'm buggered if I know what there is to improve. CUB's best effort.
