Pour yourself a glass of molasses and toast the Aussies. I think this beer isn’t bad at all. Granted...the sweetness is a little much after 1 pt. 9.6 oz of this stuff, but the flavor is pretty straight forward and unique in a way. Extra points for the bigger bottle. Surprisingly nice aroma, dark body, with a light tan head. From there things went downhill for me, with too watery a palate, and fairly weak flavors of malt and hops, and a coffee-ish tone. Weak Worchestershire sauce like aroma, but full coffee flavor. Not as thick as other stouts, nor as bitter. Weak hop aroma and taste. Defintitely easy drinking, but not very stout. I was skeptical of this beer to begin with. The aroma proved me wrong though, it was fantastic. Molasses, caramel, toffee, some coffee, nice and strong albeit syruppy sweet.
