Draught sample at the brewpub, August 4th. Pours gold and hazy, with a lasting thin white head...nose is sour, dry fruit, cherry-apple, not really appropriate to the style, though a bit of farminess asserts itself eventually, and a drier hay-like sharpness...alas on the tongue it’s also sour, citric and acidic, and really rather off...thin, dry finish doesn’t help enough. Judging from the other comments, and from all of the other much better samples I had afterwards, I’m guessing there was something amiss with this particular keg - dirty line, something in the keg itself, etc. Or just a dirty glass? I don’t know - I probably should have asked for something else, but it was my first beer there and I just went with it. I’ll certainly give it a second chance if I see it again, given the general quality that this place offers. csaso (2283) - Missouri, USA - SEP 4, 2012

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2016 At the brewpub. This was the missus’ pick. I found this to be quite nice. Yeasty and fruity and something really nice about the way it sits in the mouth. Serving: tap monkeychugg55 (1090) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Hazy yellow orange with a small white head. Light Belgian yeast and spices on the nose. Nice flavor with some light banana, grains, and a dry finish. Decent. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2011
On tap at brewpub, pours a very pale yellow with a thin soapy white head, the aroma is full of hops, fruit and some sout notes, the flavor is pretty strange, nice mix of grass notes with fruit and hops, really not all that bad.

tap at the brewpub-pours hazy orange with a small soapy whtie head. nose is spicy lightly phenolic and slightly grainy. flavors are slightly grainy and spicy with some lite fruits. decent but very simple. a very good quaffer on a hot day though however. I did this rating in a hurry so sorry its short. Decent spiced saison! nuplastikk (6252) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 3, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2010 Draft at the brewpub. Served in a goblet. Slightly hazy orange-tan color. Soapy, steady thin head. Sweet and mellow, medium bodied. Some funky harnyard yeasty sweetness. Approaching peppery, but still quite quaffable. Sweet, very pleasant, quite above par for a stateside Belgian. Approaching Bierre de Garde, well done. Arrives a clean golden color with a low head that fades down to a film. Clove spiciness comes through fairly strong in the nose, light lemon citrus, low amount of esters, light funky note toward the end. Clove hits first in the tasting, funk comes in the middle and has a light horse blanket taste, light ester with some apple and grape sweetness and finishes with a solid grainy bite. Body is a bit on the thin side with a fairly low amount of carbonation for a style that usually carries a large amount. Overall a decent brew as the tartness comes out pretty well but the body is a bit on the watery side and kinda washes away some of the flavors.
