Shorg grey head. Cloudy brown color. A bit small carbonation.
Very smooth chocolate aroma. Equally smooth taste from chocolate and mild roasted malts with a balanced caramell sweetness and a light warming alcohol. Nice bitterness and perfect body. thewolf (12535) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2017
Tap @Ølfestival 2017, vintage 2011. Pours deep chestnut with a small, staying creamy off-white head. Aroma has astringent caramel malts, cellar, raisins. Highish carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts, chocolate, cellar, chocolate, light roasted. Nice, but would have been lovely two years ago. Slightly transcluent brown with diminutive tan head. Wine, raisin, port, ruby-like. More raisin, wine flavours, chocolate, some dust. Something missing from the taste and palate; a bit too old. Anyway a great porter. Tide (3830) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 24, 2016
Bottle at Nya Carnegie. Black color, beige head. Bittersweet taste with roasted malts, oak, nuts, raisins, rum, chocolate and a bit of vanilla. Bittersweet finish with roasted malts, oak, rum, dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla and nuts. Exquisite porter. Nische (2194) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2016
Bottle from Systembolaget, cellared since release. Pours cola brown with lightly beige head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. Aroma of oak, toast, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate. The oaky barrel really shines through.Overall the oak, vanilla and chocolate are velvet smooth, with a tad cardboardy finish. Overall still very nice, but I think it’s just on the brink on turning for worse.
