COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Slightly transcluent brown with diminutive tan head. Wine, raisin, port, ruby-like. More raisin, wine flavours, chocolate, some dust. Something missing from the taste and palate; a bit too old. Anyway a great porter.

Bottle from Systembolaget, cellared since release. Pours cola brown with lightly beige head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. Aroma of oak, toast, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate. The oaky barrel really shines through.Overall the oak, vanilla and chocolate are velvet smooth, with a tad cardboardy finish. Overall still very nice, but I think its just on the brink on turning for worse.

Bottle @ home. Aged 4 years. Pours a dark brown liquid with a stable tan to beige head and thin lacing on the glass. Vinous dark fruit aroma with milk chocolate, vanilla, some oak and licorice, port vine, sweet toffee ,earth musky notes, integrated warming alcohols and background butterscotch . Medium to big body, smooth texture with medium carbonation. Taste of madeira, intense vanilla, oak, plums, raisins, licorice, toffee and some chocolate. Taste has medium length with lingering oak, coconut, red fruits, biscuits and some salt licorice. Has aged fantastically with the port wine character pairing perfectly with the other flavors.
