COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carnegie Porter brjade bryggas 1836 och r ett av det ldsta svenskbryggda let tillika Sveriges ldsta aktiva varumrke som med decennierna blivit knt ver hela vrlden. 175-rsjubileet firas med en Jubileumsbrygd, signerad av Carlsberg Sveriges bryggmstare Daniel Eriksson och Brooklyn Breweries bryggmstare Garrett Oliver.
Om jag hade varit pizzabagare hade jag beskrivit brygden som extra allt. Till skillnad frn vanlig Carnegie Porter, som r underjst, har vi anvnt bde ver- och underjstkultur till jubileumsbrygden. Det har gjort den vlhumlad, men faten har samtidigt minskat bitterheten och adderat smakerna av vanilj, kokosnt och lite bourbon, sger Daniel Eriksson.
I april anlnde amerikanska bourbonfat till Carlsberg Sveriges bryggeri i Falkenberg. Daniel Eriksson slet hrt tillsammans med Garrett och hans bryggare frn Brooklyn fr att f alla 130 trfat p plats och genomfra tappningen av brygden. Till sin hjlp hade de representanter frn Porters Drinkers Association och medarbetare frn Carlsberg.
Under lagringstiden spelades det musik fr trtunnorna frn en ppen spellista p Spotify dr allmnheten var med och pverkade valet av musik. Det spelades allt frn Cole Porter, Brooklyn-ltar och klassisk musik till reklamltar frn vstkustkompisarna Pripps Bl och Falcon.
Under lagringstiden blev let smakrikare och starkare, frn planerade 6,9 procent till en slutprodukt p 8,8 procent. Om det var ljudvgorna som pverkade lter jag vara osagt, men portern utvecklades fantastiskt bra, sger Daniel Eriksson.

[ Trade by omhper ]. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark berry, coconut, wood, vanilla, licorice. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, coconut, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. From tap. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty, vanille and roasted. Vanilla and smooth caramelish. Bitter, toasted malty and caramelish. Smooth toasted malty and caramelish. Bitter and toasted smooth vanilla finish.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, vanilla, and bourbon. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, bourbon, and roasted malt, leading to a dry finish where the bourbon note lingers.

Draught at lfestival 2012. Clear red-brown coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and light roasted aroma of caramel and vanilla with notes of chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and dark chocolate with notes of dried fruits and licorice. Sweet finish.

[email protected] (thanks rlgk!). Very deep copper colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, mild oak as well as some rather sweet maltyness and syrupy notes as well. Flavour is similar. Very sweet with a whiskyish sting.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma with woody vanilla hints. Roasted sweetish malty chocolate and carame lflavor with hints of bourbon and vanilla and weak hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

On tap. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Subtle roasty aroma with distinctly sweet vanillaish oak. Medium body, heavy sweet bourbony oak and subtle roast. No real bitterness, just heavy sweet Bourbon throughout. Very enjoyable. 110512

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Black, small gead. Aroma of bourbon and chocolate. Mid sweet with full body. Mild and mwllow with lasting flavour of chocolate and bourbon. Well balacned.

Paul takes a brown shower tasting at Bruces pad. Thanks to Bruce. Clear dark brown beer. Little tan head. Smooth soft palate, a little dry. Nice soft chocolate but not that sweet. A little malt cream and mild bourbon biscuit. Dry finish. Pretty tasty.

Bottle at Bruces, London - many thanks to Bruce and the dude who gave him this beer. Pours deep, red-brown with a tight, creamy tan head. Some toasty dark malts in the nose, hints of cheese, some sugary chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor, semi-dark malts, toasty bread, burnt brown sugar, subtle dry burnt wood. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderate warmth to finish, some dry wood, mild vinous texture, sugary chocolate. Nice beer, pretty well balanced, tasty.
