29th May 2015: on-tap as Carlsberg Carnegie Baltic Porter at the Seal Beach Beachwood BBQ bar. Coffee flavoured dark brew with a bitter bite towards the finish. Semi-sweet in the mouth it gets drier and more bitter in the aftertaste. Decent. mariuszek (1380) - Gdynia, POLAND - APR 27, 2015

Malty, nutty coffee aroma. Very dark but nearly clear brown. Sweet caramel and toffee, ash and burnt sugar tastes. Creamy feel although on the thin side for a porter. Great overall drinker now available in these parts . FunkyF (1197) - Örebro, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2015

Pours dark brown/black with no head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. The flavour of roasted coffee, vanilla, chocolate and a touch of alcohol was creamy but too thin and a little flat. HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 11, 2015
33cL bottle from Wilbur’s, bottle just says porter. Appearance: slight light brown head that does not last, dark amber to brown color, clear, light lacing. Aroma: nutty, molasses, chocolate, very light floral hops, caramel. Palate: medium body, average carbonation, slightly dry finish, cloying sweetness. Taste: sweet molasses with chocolate sweetness, into a light floral hoppiness, but finishishes with the molasses sweetness. Overall, pretty good, nothing amazing though. Mooie zwarte kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt rogge, vanille, zacht. Smaakt zoetig, chocolade, vanille. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - MAR 21, 2015
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a dark brown color with two fingers of a cream colored head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is quite heavy of a sweeter molasses and caramel smell along with some other nice roasty notes. Along with these smells comes some darker fruit aromas of prune and plum as well as some other aromas of chocolate and a little bit of a grainy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a smooth and sweet taste with lots of caramel and chocolate mixed with a little bit of a dark fruit flavors of plum and prune. Other notes of a roasted malt taste are also present upfront, creating a nice smooth base flavor for the brew. As the taste advances the fruit fades a little bit all while more and more caramel and chocolate as well as some molasses comes to the tongue. With a hint of vanilla and a tiny bit of an herbal flavor coming at the very end, one is left with a sweet and smooth, roasty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. For the porter style and the darker but sweet flavors of the brew, the feel is rather nice and makes for a flavorful, but easy drinking porter overall.
Overall – This is a very nice easy drinking porter at of only 5.5 %. A quite tasty brew overall and one to try if you have the opportunity.
