(500ml bottle) Beige/brown head with an opaque body. Nose of yogurt, cocoa and raisins. Smooth, milk chocolaty - very dairy. Delicious and gritty texture. Love it! The NEW strength from Stockholm! Thanks Luc. Lubiere (14247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 17, 2004

VINTAGE 1986. Lots and lots of raisins. Fullbodied, still. Chocolate and coffe. Well preserved but a bit too hyped. Crispy bacon and burned rubber is also a part of this beer.
Bottle 2001 Robust Porter, rich and malty, slightly smokey. Strong taste and smell of alcohol. I think many of the complexities of this beer have mellowed with age leaving this beer quite quaffable but not top-notch. Slightly astringent. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 23, 2004
Bottled(500ml). -year 2004., excellant swedish beer, the best I’ve tasted this year, brown coloured, big foamy brown head, roasty aroma of chocolate and coffee, creamy palate

A definitive ebony hue. Good, crackling tan head. As Fred Eckhart recommends, put this one to your ear and listen! Aroma is a blast of espresso, cocoa, anise and molasses. Rich and roasted, with loads of bitterness on the palate and a tenacious finish. Complex, if a bit gritty. Not a brew for novices or girly-men, this is stiff and substantial stuff. Label says best before August 2O1O, but who could wait that long? Unfortunately, the brewery has become bereft of their senses and is discontinuing this classic, so grab one if you can.

09.19.04 2001, 500ml I’ve had this beer a bunch of times, so I’m surprised I haven’t entered any notes before. Beer pours a dark, dark brown with middling brown head. Very solid porter with nice coffee and dark fruit complexity. No beating around the bush, this is a standby and always very tasty. Perfect body for a porter is medium coating, lightly effervescent, finishes sticky. Hansen (8621) - Assentoft, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2004
Dark and with a big brown head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor has lots of malt/bread with coffee and chocolate. Complex and good. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - SEP 16, 2004
1997, small bottle. Freakin fantastic beer. Robust, complex, full bodied flavors intertwined to make just a great beer. The bittersweet chocolate and coffee are rich and tasty. Mellow dried fruits. Smooth and lightly gritty finish. bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 19, 2004
(Bottle) Pours a dark brown with a medium-sized tan head. Aroma of coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and malt. Creamy palate. Flavor reflects the aroma of the beer quite nicely. Good porter!
