This unfiltered golden beer has a refreshing, crisp taste, and a hint of coriander, sure to keep you cool in the long, lazy days of summer. What better way to celebrate the independence of our nation, than with a TRUE American styled Wheat beer!

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2005 Bottle. Aroma seemed very citrusy, and almost a bit floral on first sniff. Body is on the thinner side, but not too watery. Little bit of bread/yeast flavor, but what really hit me was the citrus/fruit flavor. Maybe orange and strawberry. Very tasty and refreshing. I’ll defiantly be getting this again.

Drank from the tap at the brewery. Appearance is of liquid hay. Citrus and wheat aroma. Taste is over carbonated and watery, light wheat and grain flavors as well. Finish is crisp and clean

A hazy yellow beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with light wheaty notes. The flavor is sweet with light notes of wheat, and with a dry wheaty end.

Pours a clean lively straw yellow. Not much in the aroma to talk about. The first sip was "just another plain beer", but then the finish stole the show. Something about it has this almost roasted wheat flavor that is really excellent. Not to mention this is refreshing. I am not a huge American Wheat fan. Some come off as way too sweet or cloying. This one, however, hits the spot and makes for a great starter beer or session beer.

Tap. Not nearly as cloudy as the Red Wheat and Blue. Didn’t like this one at all, but wheat is not my cup of tea. Some reason the taste reminded me alot of honey.

kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Tasted on a recent visit to Woods on South in Charlotte, NC. Pours a generally clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is generally wheat, grain, fresh grass and hay. Flavor adds a touch of malt, more grain and maybe a slight hint of sweetness. Generally light-bodied with a quick finish.

tap. above average white fizzy (some lasting) head into cloudy orange body with good lacing present. aromas of light hops and light wheat, thought I must say that the aromas are very faint. clean finish, watery texture, and short finish duration. okay brew, enjoyed cold while I was sitting in 100 degree weather.

Bottle: Pours a transparent bright golden with an effervescent froth of wispy-lacing white head. Nose of lightly sweet malted wheat with some grainy notes and noble hops. Body starts with about average fullness, but not much malty flavor and a touch of mild tartness and husky character. Finshes drier and more bitter. American wheats aren’t my favorite style, but there are much better examples than this one.

Bottle courtesy of ucusty. Pouts amber/gold with a thin white head. Smells of perfume, some citrus. Tastes of citrus with some touches of wheat. Mouthfeel is decent and this is refreshing enough, but not much going on in the flavor department.
