From bottle. Light hoppy notes, just a bit of floral character, with quite a bit of chalky astringency and stale paper. A bit of sweetness and some metallic notes along with a bit of soap. Dark brown-amber clear, with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with a bit of caramel and biscuit, followed by some muted bitterness. Some light carbonic acidity and floral hop flavor, but bitterness is muted. Finish is rather smooth, with very little going on in the aftertaste. roder60 (1289) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2009
Pours a clear brown amber with small bubbly manilla head. Aroma is slight citrus with malt sweet base - bit faint. Flavor dry and bitter, slight malt malt with some caramel sweetness and a slight citric hoppy finish. Overall, decent - better than the other 2 beer by this brewer I’ve tried. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2009
@Knoxville Brewers Jam-on tap-pours a tan head and amber color. Aroma is herbal/resin hops, some medium malt, roasty. Taste is herbal/resin hops-nice bite, secondary medium malt-roasty. Good carbonation. tnkw01 (1774) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 28, 2009
Bottle. Aroma, nice spicy, hoppy smell. Taste, actually one of the better IPAs I have had nice flavor. Not overly bitter. Recommended. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - SEP 25, 2009
On tap at the Charlotte Airport, Carolina Bar. Semi-clear amber with small beige head. Aroma is nice citrus with bubblegum and dry caramel. Flavor is medium to large bitter pine, citrus, grapefruit, off-dry caramel, toast with drying bitterness, nice. Medium, creamy body. Very nice.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with lots of floating particles. Medium head with fair head retention and lacing. Citrus hop aroma with some caramel malts. Taste is pine and minty hop notes with a citrus finish and some toffee. Thin-medium bodied drowland (8888) - Georgia, USA - AUG 14, 2009
UPDATED: APR 23, 2011 Had this while visiting TN on vacation. Big malty backbone, but low hop profile for the style.jvmiller (558) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JUL 27, 2009
Re-rate 4/22/11. 12oz bottle. Still overly malty without very much hop profile. Perhaps both bottles I had were a little old, but perhaps this stuff just isn’t great.
Nice resinous, can tell there’s cascades. very piney. could use a little more depth. body is a bit carbonated and light, there is a lot of backbone for the hops, but the hops are nice and interesting. good to drink. Birdiebeagle (958) - Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Bottle Pours a hazy orange amber with a thin off white head. The head laces okay but deminishes quickly. Has a decent aroma of sweet malts and hoppy citrus. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is okay but not as hoppy as I would have hoped for. Has a medium body. The texture is watery. Has an okay finish with a weak aftertaste. Not awful but not what I was hoping it would be. ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 6, 2009
Location: 12 oz bottle from Total Wine in Richmond poured into a pint glass, 7/6/09
Aroma: Mostly earthy hops, a bit of grapefruit, and some light caramel as well
Appearance: Dark amber-like color, lots of sediment floating in this beer, some minor lacing on the glass, a nice looking beer
Flavor: I taste a nice amount of hops here, some light grapefruit sweetness in the finish
Palate: A nice body on this one, it has a nice flow
A good brew, wasn’t particularly excited by the nose, but the taste was nice, and it was a really nice looking beer with an above average palate.
