Draft. Clean and crisp but un eventful. Reminds me of a margin beer. More about the profit margin than crafting a beer.

On tap. Pretty average for a brown. Drinkable and good, but nothing spectacular. Just ok. Travlr (25787) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Draft. Clear amber color, small tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of nutella on tiast. Taste is nutty but watery. Garbageman (487) - Lexington, South Carolina, USA - JAN 17, 2013
From tap. Poured a nice brown color with no head. Aroma was nut and sweet malt. Taste followed but well balanced with a kick of hops for a brown ale. At Tupelo Honey in Asheville NC. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 25, 2011
On tap at my buddy’s wedding. Hard to tell since it wasn’t clearly labeled if it was a brown or an amber. Sort of a nondescript dark ale. Amber-brown in color and a small beige head. Relatively hoppy and bitter. Not very malty for a brown ale.

On tap at the brewpub. Brown in color with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is on the better side of average, with nuts and caramel but maybe a slight oxidative note. The flavor is on the worse side of average. Nice caramel and nuts but mild cardboard, which keeps showing up in this brewery’s beers for some reason. Medium-bodied with average carbonation and standard mouthfeel. This is almost a good beer, but just barely misses the mark with whatever that cardboard flavor is. brewski519 (644) - Morrisville, North Carolina, USA - OCT 7, 2009
Sampled at Durham WBF - poured a brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt and nuts - taste is a roasted malt, with nuts, caramel and very faint hops - a middle of the road beer that doesn’t take any chances. Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2009
Draft sample at the brewpub. Pours a brown color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and nuts. The taste is dominated by green apple with some faint nutty malt notes. Medium bodied. Seems off. BrotherGrendel (787) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 6, 2009
Deep amber-brown hue. Nose is faint nuts and roast. Flavor is also on the lighter side of nutty roasty malts, finishes crisp. Thin and watery texture. A clean middle of the road brown ale well in the easy-drinking session range. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 25, 2009
Copper/brown with a light white head and lace. Nothing on the nose detracted from this beer nor stood out. Toasted malt with a sour finish. Over carbonated. Not my favorite beer from them but a drinkable beer none the less.
