COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally, this intensely hopped ale was brewed in the 18th century to survive the long sea journey from the cooler breweries in England, around the Cape of Africa to India where the temperatures were too warm to brew. This beer has a unique floral aroma from the generous addition of Cascade hops to the fermenter in a procedure known as dry hopping.

Bottle pour of a light copper hazy brown with a nice off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and light earthy floral hops. Taste of big piney earthy hops with smooth caramel toffee taste. Med to light body with mild carbonation that plays off the bite of the hops with a long lingering bitter finish. Overall a solid beer that stays true to it's style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a cloudy orange-amber color with small floaters and a large creamy-foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with vague fruity hops, plum and a bit of citrus. The flavor was tangy and bitter with notes of honey, bread, vague fruits and citrus. Medium length bitter and fruity finish. Medium body. Ok.
