2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted on 6/20/14 from a 12oz can. Pours hazy pale orange with a thick white head that leaves thick lace, and some residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is some wheat bread malt with some spicy earthy hops. The flavor is the same, very clean spicy, earthy hops with some light bread malt. The body is light with lively, stinging carbonation, and a short lightly bitter hops finish.

Not sure why this is scoring so low, probably that beer geeks don’t consider this craft beer. This is a great beach beer. Those looking to try craft beer, this is a great first craft start. Those that like the Coors Light & Bud Lights will LOVE this beer.

Twelve ounce can from variety 6 pack purchased at Village Market (Harris Teeter’s yuppie division), Johns Island, South Carolina, tasted on July 17,2016. Medium golden hue, nice clean aroma of malt with some fruit and spice elements, taste like the nose--easy drinking but flavorful. Good session brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from can.
Aroma of sweet bread and corn.
Appearance is gold with barely a head..
Tasting slightly sweet malt and a touch of hops - very similar flavors to lagers.
Palate is a bit more sweet than dry, nice carbonation, refreshing.
Overall, a good beer for a summer day..

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of doughy malt, grassy hops and fruit. The finish is malty up front with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

From a can this is an interesting drink that turns a little refreshing after a few glugs. Hazy, almost looks like a lighter hefe. At first I thot it lacked personality but then I think it has some tartness in there. Thew tartness carries over to the olfactory. Simply a good refreshing beer that hides it’s alky content rather well. Good all round session brew without any ill attributes, not bad! I could drink a sixer of these without any problem, nice job.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz can served in a snifter.
Pours light amber, slightly hazy, with a weak head and minimal lacing.
Aroma: mild and pleasant with hops and bready malts. As expected for style.
Flavor: fruity for style, but not objectionable. Hops dominate malts.
Feel; Light carbonation and surprisingly full medium body.

12 oz. can into a stange
Can stamped best by 3/4/2016
A: A hard pour from the can yields 2 fingers of tight bubbly bone colored head. Good retention and nice lacing too. Clear medium gold body with a few lazy bubbles seen rising.
S: Dry white wine on the nose, slight grassy hop note. No malts detected. Light but fresh scent overall
T: Tart hop pucker up front with dry white grape flavor on the finish. Not the least bit malty or sweet. Simple with little complexity,
M: Very light soft texture with fine velvety foam giving a nice light dry and Champagne-like mouthfeel. Good but thin.
O: A respectable if not notable Kolsch but it really could benefit from a bit more malt heft and grain. Locally brewed, always available and well priced mean this is a nice anytime example of the style.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden pour. Normal head characteristics.
Nice nose of biscuit as a base with notes of pear and orange zest.
Light body with a smooth texture. Normal carbonation with a touch of middle effervescence and a fairly prickly finish.
The flavor profile is very good. It is a kolsch, so flavor intensity is laid back. You get the flavors of the nose and a clean finish. Everything is subtle with this beer, as the style typically is. 2012 GABF bronze medal winner.
