Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lasting creamy white head. Aromas of bread, yeast and peppery hops. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, peppery hops amd a hint of earthiness with a smooth dry finish. Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Draft. Clear golden yellow color, small white head. Aroma of peppery cereal. Taste is grainy, peppery, lightly bitter. Decent. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Draft at the Pittsboro NC location. Poured a golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma was lots of saaz - juicy citrus, orange notes, some crisp grassy notes. Flavor was nice, crisp grass - lager yeast characteristics. Nice juicy. Refreshing, despite the ABV. Suttree (6537) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 29, 2014
I can sum it up like this - I enjoyed the saaz portion of this beer. The "super" part, eh, not so much. Not everything needs to be imperialized... jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - APR 7, 2014
22oz bottle-foamy white-gold. A-fruit/herbal, sweet lt/med malt-cereal. T-spice/fruity hops, sweet med malt-cereal/bread. Slightly slick mouthfeel and alcohol. Pretty spot on for center of style.

Bottle from the Brewery in Chapel Hill, NC. 750ml. Home in an American pint glass. Golden orange pour with a rather thin head for an Imperial Pils. Aroma was rather lacking overall but you could certainly get the saaz hops. (pepper and hay field.) Also a little bready smelling. Taste was alright with the saaz hops present the dominant factor. Not extremely well balanced. Seems like they could have dialed in the malts a little more. Bitter finish with kind of a skunk aftertaste. Medium light in body. Medium carbonation. arventresca (563) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2013
Kind of strong. Definitely imperial. Ok offering, not something I would seek in the future. chandler0201 (650) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Pours golden with hint of orange and a thin white head with light lacing throughout. Aroma is earthy and sweet, with hints of grass and trees. Flavor is very sweet and thin, finish was a bit dry. Honestly I don’t have much to compare to with this style, but it was very average. emacgee (4711) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Soft and straw blonde pour with one finger of white head. Nose is really interesting, lots if bready malt and some sharp alcoho:l. Sweet malt and super spicy hops. Almost astringent. Meh TURDFERGUSON (4068) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 26, 2013
Tap at beer study. Pours orangish clear golden with a thin white head, light lace. Nose is lightly sweet and grassy. Flavor is similar. Pretty easy drinking but a little on the sweet side. Lightly cloying. Not bad at all.
