3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Special on tap at the Pit in Raleigh. According to the brewer the dark version comes from the addition of midnight wheat which provides the color and changed the flavor profile slightly making it lean toward a porter in style. The appearance is black with thin head. Aroma is roasty and caramel. Taste is mild sweet. Medium body, mild bitter finish. Smooth and well balanced, overall enjoyed and good flavor.
