3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. The pour was a medium copper amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that reduced to a medium cap which lead to some really nice streaky lacing.
The aroma was of a mild straw malt, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit and orange peel).
The taste was moderately bitter with a mild sweet maltiness and a touch of caramel early on, and then progressed into this hoppy bitter taste that had a good note of citrus towards the end. The flavor lasted for quite a long while with the hoppy citrus flavor fading nice and slow.
Mouthfeel was just above light in body with a decently dry texture and a moderate carbonation.
Overall an IPA that gets back to the basics: hops, citrus and a mild caramel malty taste. You really don’t need much else...
Crystal clear copper pour. Decent head with mild lacing. Hop forward aromas. Grapefruit notes in the hop flavors. Clean finish.

Tap @ Hilton RDU at RTP: Clear copper color with small off-white head and sticky lacing. Floral, hop aroma, toast, grass, balanced flavor with a mild hair spray aftertaste. Not bad, easy to drink - exceeded my expectations. doubelknv3 (1093) - Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Mild grapefruit and caramel aroma. Amber with very thin head. Grapefruit, mild caramel, and earthy flavor notes. Medium dryness and bitterness.

For an IPA, this is awfully meh.. Pours a dark gold with a thick head. Not very hoppy in either taste or smell. Easy on the palate, but not in a particularly appealing way. Cybercat (6046) - Georgia, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Pours a dark, coppery amber, almost mahogany, that is crystal clear and has a fairly thick, fluffy and somewhat persistent off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity, not strong but still appetizing. Hoppy flavor has subtle woody and fruity notes and minimal bitterness. Texture is smooth, firm-bodied and fairly fizzy. Not spectacular, but still enjoyable. Pours a clear hazelnut with a nice off white head. Huge grapefruit aroma o’ hops. This is one of the better IPA’s I’ve had because it is perfectly balanced and not overly bitter. A creamy mouthfeel of roasty malt and a bit of hoppy pine. Finish is smooth with the slightest lingering of citric bitterness. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Blurred, reddish amber appearance with a small, fast fading, off white head and moderate lacing. Spicy hop aroma with a hint of caramel malts. Subtle citrus hop taste with toffeeish malts in the background. Medium-to-light bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a short lived finish, Not exciting but not a drain pour either. Copper colored with a white head. Medium citrus and pine hops with light caramel malts, too. Light hop bite and a bit of sweet malts, too. Refreshing on the beach. Nice but nothing special. jrob21 (3774) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 4, 2010
Nice white head and cloudy orange color. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit citrus hops. Some green apple fruit flavor as well. Finish is a nice citrus bitterness. A bit of a cream, buttery texture. Is that an infection?
