Draught at Carolina Ale House in Durham, NC. Clear golden color with bubbly white head. Grainy nose with a hint of spicy hops. Slightly sweet with a nice grainy aftertaste that is a bit buttery. Crisp finish with perfect amount of carbonation for the style. Very good beer. Dorwart (2607) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2005
Large bubbly off-white head. King of chunky. Light malts and hops with a bit of sweetness. Color is a dark orange. Wow. Much more hops in the flavor than expected and from the aroma. Quite nice and hoppy. Little bit of orange and flowers. Quite bitte flavor and finish. Slick and oily at the finish with more bitterness. A decent brew. Dark gold with a strong white head. Smells sweet and nutty with a dose of caramel. Very clean flavors, but it came across as a bit watery and lacking in body. Sweet, somewhat fruity beginning leads to a slight balancing bitterness in the end. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2005
Dark straw pour with medium white head and big carbonation bubbles. Aroma of malt and hopcit. Tastes malty/honeyish, with some hopcit and slight fruit at the finish. jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - MAR 26, 2005
Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, bread and floral hops. Taste has notes of toffee, toasted malt, caramel and a solid dose of hops. Some bitterness/pepper in the aftertaste, finish is a little metallic. Flavor fades into wateriness. Medium-thin body, watery texture and moderate carbonation. No lacing, decent head retention. Needs more body, sweetness and depth. OK.

Medium Brownish-organge color. Very light brown head recedes slowly with some lacing. Mild hopsy finish. Watery, slightly sweet flavor. hurleymanvw (101) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - SEP 14, 2004
Amber colored beer with a slight white head. Caramel and coffee flavor. Had a slight hop aftertaste. Nice beer good for a drink or two. brownaler (699) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 24, 2004
A good lager from CBC. The flavor has loads of character even though the flavor seems too dull from trying to round it out. BrewEd (182) - Wilmington, North Carolina, USA - OCT 13, 2003
On tap at the RDU airport. Nice crisp offering with a good amount of hops - a good session beer. Libeerian (209) - Garner, North Carolina, USA - SEP 3, 2003
Amber-gold brew topped by a thick head. Big Vienna malt nose. Nice malty flavor with good hop backup (perhaps too good). Dry malt finish.
