Like all things truly Jersey, 077XX makes the most in balancing through its accentuation of extremes. Inspired by the west coast IPAs we love, we added a thump of hops to a dynamic malt profile and chose a yeast to drive these two further than they wanted to go. Throw our water into this mix and you will find dank green resinous hops popping over orange, mango and papaya aromas, with just enough sweetness of body to make the long finish a pleasure to have around. A double IPA perfect for adding fuel to the fire of a dinner, a game, or an idea, drink it when your night matters.

Tight, white head, small but lasting as well the lace. Murky, gold body. Nose is nice, peaches and pine. Medium bodied, good carbonation, lightly oily. Slightly dank and fruity hop notes, citrus and some crystal malts that are a touch sweet for me. Finish is a bit malty with a tender bite. Cans from Colliers in Cape may.

Dark golden-orange body, medium sized white head, soapy lacing. Tropical and green goodness up front, fading to some standard citrus, and finishing with some biscuity and crackery malts. Medium bodied, moderate to lively carbonation, assertive bitterness, semi-dry with just a bit of malt sweetness here and there.

Draught at Edison Ale House, Newark, NJ; 10oz
Hazy golden color with compact head. The aroma is a bit sweaty and animal. Lean body, nice flavor of pale malts, simple, but its a right choice for these beers; the hopping is very powerful, strong bitterness, strong resiny character, moderate animal, lighter fruity.
Tastes like a regular IPA, not a double. Very nice and fresh though.

Light Amber color. The flavor is very good but not as powerful as I would expect with a double IPA. Pallet is remarkably smooth! Second only to Pliney in that category for my experience. Perhaps a new were bottling date would increase aroma and flavor. Even so still a fantastic beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this from a can today. Not happy with it at all. Way to much body and bitterness. At least it wasnt to sweet like most east coast iPas. That had me happy. After that the problem is with the hops. The are just vegetal and over extracted astrigant. Was hoping for more after the other reviews. No luck.

Can @ Home. Thanks, Jake. Cloudy golden orange pour with white foam. Dank grapefruit skin and pine aroma. A lot of fresh flowers as well. Mild peach and bready malts. Intense bitterness and dryness. Very light malt character. A good bit of peach, peach skin, some grapefruit, and grass. Lightly spicy and floral. Nice stuff.
