Like all things truly Jersey, 077XX makes the most in balancing through its accentuation of extremes. Inspired by the west coast IPAs we love, we added a thump of hops to a dynamic malt profile and chose a yeast to drive these two further than they wanted to go. Throw our water into this mix and you will find dank green resinous hops popping over orange, mango and papaya aromas, with just enough sweetness of body to make the long finish a pleasure to have around. A double IPA perfect for adding fuel to the fire of a dinner, a game, or an idea, drink it when your night matters.

Awesome double IPA. Up there with the best of them. Super hop bitterness that lingers on the palette even during drinking intermissions. Mild bready malt brings a moderate sweetness that balances very nice accentuating the hop character. Resinous piney, pineapple, and grapefruit notes with some grassiness. Color is a hazy golden yellow. Overall just an awesome DIPA. Their session is amazing, but would choose this if only a beer or two for the night.

Well, Ill be damned. NJ is good for a lot more than recurring Futurama jokes. For one thing, they make a lovely Imperial IPA. 077XX has aromatics and a flavor profile that make you think of all things tropical. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango, orange, papaya, and peach. Bone-dry finish. Lots of juicy sweetness and just the right amount of bitterness to keep things crisp and bright. A lovely Double IPA from the East.

What a beer. The citrus quality of this DIPA is insane and it blends well with some more subtle pine tones that come out in the initial sip; it is quickly overpowered with some pretty intense grapefruit notes. The malt bill is kinda thin; id say the ratio is ALMOST perfect, if the malt was just a TINY bit more present this would be upper-echelon type stuff. As it is, its still fantastic and makes me so happy to be a New Jersey native - the fact I can get this about whenever I want makes me tear up a little. Very close to the perfect DIPA. Not much makes me proud to be from Jersey, so thank you Carton for giving me something!

Pours a filtered, golden-orange color, with a big, fluffy white head. On the nose, the beer reveals a great mix of dank grass and juicy exotic fruits, blending perfectly together. Lime pulp is the most dominant hop allegory in this, gently coated up by kiwi and fresh cut orange. This creates a fantastic hop profile on the nose, evoking the thought of visiting a fruit booth, while getting slightly overwhelmed by its aromas, when entering the store. Its lemon qualities do a big part of creating such an intriguing nose, partly because of its pure fresh- and juicyness, partly by the crackery malts, which lend even more depth to them. Drinks very creamy, although it has a lively carbonation to it, which gets recognizable during the beers finish, adding a mineral quality to the juicy hops. This creates a very pleasant mouthfeel, while hops and malts wrestle for supremacy. Tastes of dough white bread malts, which soften the immediate lime impact by adding a smooth tone to it. Limes turn juicier, more crisp and more bitter though, evolving to a pleasantly fresh hop explosion on the palate, toned down immediately by cakey malts. After that initial hop burst, malts take over directly after the swallow, weaving a shielding bubble over the tongue, by introducing calming toffee and biscuit. This great blend has to make way for an even grassier, lime dipped hop assault, resulting in a slightly mineralic, fruity and bitter aftertaste. I am blown away by the greatness of this beer. It appears to be very focussed, almost minimalistic, while being extremely well balanced, and perpetually evolving. The changing flavors of the beer divide themselves into separate stages, utmost clean, versatile and different. Mouthfeel is the cherry on top, crowning the beer by exhibiting a perfectly smooth drinking experience.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2015 [Draft @ Twin Lights Tap House] Dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, light pine, some skunk, citrus, toast, and light sweetness. Taste of pine, caramel, citrus, resiny hops, and a bitter, grapefruit finish.

Hoppy dankness with a light lacing of citrusy foam. Very smooth malty backbone and palate pleasing for a hophead like myself. Been wanting to try this puppy for a bit and was worth the wait to get a hold of. Carton is doing some nice things on the Jersey Shore. Fist pump!

Growler. Gave this local brewer a shot & glad I did. Nice resin aroma. Pours a cloudy wheat color with an ample head. Taste is clean, fresh hops up front - finishes with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden. Very drinkable (for ABV). Highly recommended!
