They say they want it to be food friendly. That makes total sense to me. A lot going on but no 1 thing over the top. closey22 (2109) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Dark amber with bubbly beige head; aroma is rich and complex with roasty chocolatey and notes of hops on the fringes; Flava is equally complex with deep roasted malt with chocolate notes; feels medium slightly creamy and equally fizzy; MFN finishes long and roasty with hops coming out long after the swallow N3lson1 (1010) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - JUL 22, 2016
Drank on tap at Carton, this brew is amazing, definitely a solid, solid brown ale, everything right with this brew! BREWMUSKCLES (2744) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 16, 2012
gimmicky but i loved it. caramel and vanilla with a hint of chewy chocolate. married in such genuine fashion to a scratchy rye ipa. best brown ale i ever had. citrus, nice heavy enough rye malt "just getting along" it is not smooth. light brown with orange hue supremely satisfying and not to be missed! On tap at the Grainhouse. Pours an amber orange color with white foam head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Sticky caramel taste with a nice hop hit. Tasty.

Growler from Spirits Unlimited in Toms River, NJ. Mahogany brown color topped by a thick rocky beige head. Rich malty nose has hints of nuts, caramel and cocoa. Flavor follows the nose. Notes of herbal hops balance the big malt flavor. Additional notes of toasted bread and walnuts. Finishes with spicy hops and a chewy mouthfeel. This is very solid brown ale and a nice effort fron Carton Brewing. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - APR 1, 2012
Intriguing beer. Very hard to put a label on it. It has a very nice chocolate and coffee aroma that is surprising considering the beer is gold in color with a small white head. The flavor is lighter than the aroma with a nice bitterness, just a hint of the chocolate and coffee. Finish is dry and tasty. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUN 14, 2013
