Nearly black nitro pour with big creamy brown head. Sweet roasty aroma. Light but full of flavor, hints of sweetness and roast malt. Creamy finish. Another great Carton beer. SG111 (1973) - New York, USA - DEC 30, 2015
Tap at Rattle N’ Hum. Pours black, big Nitro tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is chocolate, coffee finish. A little too watery for me for a Nitro. Oh well.

I had it on tap. It pours very dark brown. The aroma was roasty and coffee. The taste was also very roasty with coffee flavor and roasted peanuts. There was also a nice milky and sugary sweetness. It was very smooth and balanced. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 27, 2015

Growler I picked up at the brewery pours a watery black with some cloudy, white head. Nose has milk chocolate, mild toast, some molasses. Flavor follows, malty, molasses, brown sugar, milk chocolate. Finishes thin. Drinkable.
