3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Dark gold with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is indistinct but has vague pumpkin notes. Taste adds some citrus and spice. Nice creamy mouthfeel. This is one of the better pumpkin beers I've had.
This was an interesting beer. Not usually a fan of these pumpkin things but the uniqueness got me on this. Big alcohol nose, definitely a cream ale thats 9% as the base, more or less smells like a malt liquor - which i like. Notes of vegetal pumpkin kind of thing and some orange zest and ginger. Pours golden, thin head and lace. Flavors of strong cream ale malt liquor base pumpkin vegetal notes, ginger and some orange zest. Warming alcohol, very interesting. ben4321 (6839) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 24, 2016
Draft at Haymaker. Hazy orange pour. White head and heavy lacing. Strongly vegetal and alcohol aroma. Some ginger notes. Taste is much the same. No sweetness, vegetal, earthy bitterness, and noticeable alcohol. Smooth, creamy feel. Solid beer, but I would have preferred if the ABV was less noticeable in the flavor. 12oz can thanks to Bob! Pours a hazy golden orange color with a creamy finger of white head. Aroma of grain, pumpkin flesh, vanilla cream, orange citrus, and a hint of ginger. Taste is much the same, but the orange and ginger are more prominent. Finishes grassy, with some spicy ginger on the tongue. corby112 (2813) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2015
Pours a very hazy pale golden orange color that’s more straw/yellow-hued with a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Surprisingly good retention for high ABV and serving style with streaks of soapy lacing clinging to the glass. Color is much lighter than expected for a pumpkin beer.
Strong lactic cream presence in the aroma along with pumpkin pie filling, very prominent zesty citrus and peppery spice. Lots of coriander and white pepper along with some ginger and sweet orange peel. Pumpkin is in there but pretty subtle with only faint autumnal spice notes. Most of the pumpkin beer character is overpowered by the citrus, pepper and lactose. Smells more like a cream-witbier hybrid.
Full bodied with creamy texture and a crisp, peppery bite that lingers over the lactic creaminess, sweet citrus and pumpkin into a dry finish. Definitely has more of a cream ale flavor profile than a traditional pumpkin beer. Wouldn’t have even guessed that pumpkin was in there if I didn’t know. Strong lactose sweetness/creaminess followed by pepper, coriander and ginger. Underneath, there’s some bready yeast with prominent citrus zest in the finish, especially orange pith. . Little to no autumnal spices that are typically associated with the style. Still, this is a pretty flavorful beer with nice cream ale characteristics. I was just expecting a bit more pumpkin. katrinaez (2355) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2015
Interesting touch of hops for a pumpkin and an ale. Almost belies the name. Smooth. Can

on draft at EBF, another novelty huge cream ale. This one was light in pumpkin flavor, not much for spices, but the alcohol burn was there. Ok but I couldnt drink more than the sample. PhillyCraft (8198) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2013
On tap at Pour house on a couple occasions. Pours clearish orange gold with very small head. Pumpkin is pretty light, mostly get some bready malt and flowery hops. Lots of nutmeg/ginger spice in this offering, wasn’t offensive but wish it was more of a cream ale like the name implied. Decent. closey22 (2126) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Cloudy gold with lasting foamy lacy white head; aroma is light with a hint of pumpkin spice; Flava is slightly sweet and bitter with notes of spice and gourd; feels medium and slightly fizzy; finishes dry and bitter mansquito (7134) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 27, 2013
The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is spicy hops, spice, citrus, and pepper. Taste is certainly not pumpkin. It is rather bitter. There is some cream ale up in there, but mostly, this is just a hoppy strong ale. Alcohol is rather well-covered.
