Draught @ Tavern 29. Dark brown with small foamy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, thin body, lightly bitter mocha taste, medium bitter finish. Bit weak but tasty. NikkTwist (3307) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2016 Draft at Bru Craft. Opaque brown-black pour that started with a thick khaki froth. Interesting landscape of lace. Smoked ham hocks BBQ. Creamy dark roasted hazelnuts. Earth. Espresso beans. Dark cocoa. Black currant. Pomegranate. Shoe polish. Full-bodied. Unusual concoction. Not for everyone - but worked for me! Can from Barry, pours brown color with smaller top. Smell is hazelnut. Flavor is heavy cayenne, garlic, and stinky butthole. People were choking on this beer during the tasting. We need more BOAT Augie, not this rubbish. Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - SEP 4, 2016
12oz can. Another pick up courtesy of Dave Mac! Pours a dark brown color with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of smoked malts, chocolate, soy sauce, barbecued meat, and some sweet caramel. Taste mimics the nose. Pretty interesting. I’m digging it.

Gravity at Blind Tiger. Murky brown with a reddish hue. No head or lace on the gravity pour. Smoke and roast. A bit on the sweet side. Nice flavor. egajdzis (6693) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2016
Black color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, smoke. Taste of roast, smokey malts, chocolate, and a spicy finish. dmac (6434) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 14, 2016
12oz can from the source. Poured a medium density dark black with a creamy light beige head. Aroma is chocolate, very light smoked malt, slight hint of sweetness. Flavor is the same. Additionally a slight touch of booze on the nose and earthiness on the flavor. Medium body at best, slightly chalky, average carbonation. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2016
Draft at EBF. Brown pour with some head. Smoke, being the biggest aroma, meat, spice, herbal and other craziness. Flavors are smoky, meaty, spice, herbal, floral tones(kitchen sink). Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 27, 2016
Sample at extreme beerfest 2016. Oddly this beer comes across like a generic smoked beer. I dont get all these bbq spices at all just generic smoked amber ale taste.
