Level 42 bottleshare. Santa is flying past and below! Thanks to Leighton for the can. Clear deep amber beer, patchy thin pale tan head. Palate is smooth but pretty dry and has modest carbonation. Smooth dry dark malts, some roasty bitterness. Tangy fruits and ripe citrus. Pine and mild hop skunk. Light semi dry finish. Tasty beer but the palate is thin and dry.
Can at level 42, thanks to Leighton. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, a bit dank, treacle, cola, dried fruits, plum and Dandelion & Burdock. The taste is slick, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, roasted grass, earthy, treacle, plum, D&B, cocoa, varnish and a touch of spice. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. If anything I would say it should be more bitter and less sweet for the style. Drinks easy anyway, so no qualms. mR_fr0g (14028) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2016
